It's the shoes, there so dam slick on everything. You see him touch a smooth metal surface an goes down instantly. Think someone would fix that considering. About once a month we see someone fall, usually just walking casually.
This wasn’t a mistake. It was an accident. As for him wedging his gun between his legs is a mistake. Thankfully a good friend was there for him.. those shoes must be slippery with cobblestone. I’m just glad he’s okay.

I'm pretty sure that other soldier who helped him up is an NCO "sergeant" or a Warrant Officer "you can tell from the red sash that he's wearing", pretty much a more senior individual, a leader of sorts. So it's kind of expected that he'd go into damage control mode.
I think they should have all stopped to maintain unit cohesion. It would have looked better. I guess their not like America's Marines; "No man left behind."

If a US service member were to do that they would more than likely be low in rank and have never handled a firearm. The gun isn't loaded but there is a bayonet at the end of it and the ground is slick. Dude is a moron.

I've got a pair from surplus. They make a good field boot (as that was their original purpose), but a good dress boot on occasion. They slip very easily on any metal surface and some wet pavements, but one eventually learns how to walk in them without slipping. The occasional slide does happen, nevertheless, and some are more extravagant than others!

They’re probably traditional shoes of some sort that are required to be worn and can’t be changed
The metal surface was fixed on the shoe to make noise when they march, very slippery on stone or metal surface

I've got a pair from surplus. They make a good field boot (as that was their original purpose), but a good dress boot on occasion. They slip very easily on any metal surface and some wet pavements, but one eventually learns how to walk in them without slipping. The occasional slide does happen, nevertheless, and some are more extravagant than others!

Es cierto, esas caidas tienen repercusiones. A mis 22 años me cai bien gacho lastimandome mi espalda baja pero devolada me puse de pie y segui como si nada pero ahora a mis 31 me duele hasta el alma y mas en tiempo de frio😐
