My '96 Pine Mountain was one of the most fun bikes I've owned. With 26x1.9 tires, no suspension and 560 mm handlebars every trail was a challenge. But that bike was so well balanced that you still felt confident on it. Great memories!

I've had 3 Marin bikes. 1992 Muirwoods, black and fluro yellow. 1995 Pallisades Trail, Purple and Gray. Unfortunately both were stolen. I then went for a Gary Fisher until I've now switched back to a Marin. 2020 Bolinas Ridge, Blue and Orange 29nr! I've never had a big budget but these $600 Hardtails are amazing! I even bought some 1992 Retro Fork Decals in Orange as a nod to my first Marin.

@@TasteBudJunkie I'm a huge fan. I don't ride that often, but it is perfect for my style... which is riding the local trail for an hour or so. Usually, I'm on pavement, but sometimes on gravel. Many years ago I'd bike to work, this would have been THE perfect commuter bike. The only 'changes' I made were adding a clamp for my phone, a small under-the-seat bag, and a bottle holder. It's a very pleasant ride, with a very palatable price tag, no regrets.

But no matter what I'm still going to wait for the San Quentin to arrive. Thx👍

@@filmic1 That's most likely a preload knob, which will make the suspension fork feel firmer if you crank it down.

Unfortunately not all saddles work for all people. However there is a huge selection available in aftermarket. Most good dealers will have some sort of tool to help advise the best saddle should the stock one not be ideal

Ciao! I own a marin gestalt x11 2019. After some occasion of long rides and bikepacking, with my age now at 50,i thought it might good if I could change the crank to a 2by setup. However, I'm not sure if it's possible since the lower part of the seat tube is not round. Any suggestions about it? Thank you

Hello Arthur - the X11 of that era is 1x only. You can chat with your local bike shop about different gearing options, including running a smaller front chainring or converting to a 1x12 with a lower low gear. Hope this helps!

Awesome on the Nicasio 2; it's such a fun bike (as is the Headlands). The rack that is on Aaron's bike was from one of our vendors, but has been out of production for several years.
