    Just purchased after I finally got in touch with ThermalRight. Took 45 days, but better late than never, told me they made an error in their one Amazon listing because there are several models that have the same name. Just got it today and will be installing and reviewing it next week. Just price, with tax came to under $69 and looks easy to install as long as you have lots of velco or preferred method of cable management ties, cuz it requires a half dozen daisy chains and 3 plugins, so 9 connections in total. Still I have high hopes for this. I am already using a ThermalRight CPU enclosure for better protection of Ryzen 7000 CPUs as well as guards thermal compound from leaking, and I purchased a thermal right tower air cooler for another build. LIke you guys.

    Well this is an amazing AIO for the price. Works well on my AM5 socket. However, I can say this with complete certainty that this was the hardest cooler I ever had to install. The pump hoses are stiff and it was difficult place, but not too bad. The fans came pre-installed which was great, the radiator installation was no problem, very straight forward. The hard part comes with cable management and keeping your sanity. I saw mention of this on the PC Part Picker site. The way they have it set up is through tons of daisy chaining, each fan has 3 cables coming out of it, it's a spider web of horror. So be ready. But once it's installed, it performs well and is quiet.
    Advance would be to make sure you have plenty of velcro or zip ties, you don't want to use the twist ties that they come with because the wire inside can be conductive. Much easier if you have a single helper. Install the radiator with the thermal right logo facing the back of your case, and try to feed the cables through in two groups. One for the ARGB lighting, and the other for the fan power cables. Make sure this is the last piece of your build so that all your other cables are already managed. Once you have all the cables behind your case, then remove the twist ties and carefully daisy chain the ARGB cables, tie them together and do the same for the power cables with the adapter provided. A PWM hub is a must for this so hopefully you have one, if not, order in advance and install beforehand. Then just plug everything in and tidy up any last things. Final note, because I saw a lot of people commenting about this on Amazon, the pump connection only takes 3 pins, but your board probably has 4 pins, this is not a problem. Just plug in the pump to the correctly marked header and going from left to right plug in the pump socket, leaving one pin exposed. It will work normally. This is a compatibility design, nothing to worry about.
    If I had to install this again, that's the way I would do it and I think it would be a lot easier. Instead i untied everything and tried to velcro and zip tie it before feeding it to the back of my case, like the guy does in the video. That was a big mistake. I have a full size ATX case that is compatible with E-ATX motherboards so I had plenty of room. If you're working with a micro ATX case, this may prove more stressful, but totally doable, as long as you have a good case that's well designed. That said, I'd consider a 240mm for that, unless you really need the extra cooling. I just really wish this video showed some cable management. Anyway, sorry for the long comment and probably poor grammar, but I thought if I was detailed I might help someone. So if you are an experienced builder with lots of cable management skills, this is a great bargain, if not, I might spend a little bit more money and get something that's easier to manage, especially on smaller cases. Good luck and thank you Thermalright for making liquid cooling affordable. Cheers.

    I just watched another video of the exact same AIO and he plugged the 3 pin pump plug into the CPU_FAN header with the opposite side of the 4 pins on the board being open… why? I’ve always been told to NEVER use the CPU_OPT header for the AIO pump and to use the CPU_FAN header for it.

    • @bizbarley74
      @bizbarley74 Před měsícem

      There's a lot of daisy chaining and plug adapter use. You daisy chain all 4 3 pin 5V argb (including the argb on the pump fan) together and then you can just plug a single female 3 pin into your PMW header, which you should have standard if your using any half way decent case. So after chaining all the argb, its only one plug needed to mobo or PMW. The radiator fans are all plugged into an adapter that goes into your normal 4 pin CPU fan header. And finally the pump fan is a 4 pin connection that goes into (on my MSI Tomahawk B650) "pump fan" slot. But other boards will have other markings, CPU_OPT or AIO. So there is only a need for 3 connections to a power source, two are 4 pin and one is three pin for the argb if you have that model. Pretty straight forward.
