This is a tv show called El número uno. It is similar to X Factor but it is not on anymore. There is another tv show more interesting to react. It is called Operacio Triunfo (OT) I recommend you to react to Amaia Romero "Miedo" and "Shake it out". Funny story, Amaia participated in El Número Uno when she was 13 and Monica Naranjo as part of the jury sent her home saying that she was too young to be so famous. Years later when Amaia was 18 participated in Operacion Triunfo also with Monica Naranjo in the jury, this time she won the show and now is one of the biggest new artists of Spain hehe she also went to Eurovision. I agree with the fact of feeling intimidated. I believe Mónica feels safe singing in her middle register (since she doesn't go to the top of her range on this song) and she knows how to handle her own instrument. However, I feel like the audience and even artists that sing with her most probably feel that mix of excitement and intimidation. In this case there is a mutual admiration between Mónica and Pastora. Hi Gavin, this was a TV show called “El Numero 1”, but if you want to react to a spanish tv show you should check “OT” (operacion triunfo), where Monica was one of the judges in 2017. 1) in 1997, she released the original version of this song, “La Pantera en Libertad.” Shortly thereafter, she got the nickname “La Pantera de Figueras” because of this song and because she was born in Figueras, Catalonia, Spain.
2) you reacted to version 3.0 of “La Pantera en Libertad”, which is a remix of her original song.

@@jesuso.1852 Sin ánimo de ofender, no entiendo de dónde sacas que la copla venga de la oración musulmana. Tiene bastante más que ver con los madrigales medievales, que con el rezo.
El único problema de la copla es que necesita nuevas composiciones, el resto está ahí.

@@jesuso.1852 Pues mal empieza el reportaje, la copla está desde principios del siglo XVII como mínimo. Un ejemplo claro está en una pieza de aquella época (1616 exactamente), de Sebastián Durón. Ahí, en un canto a un Cristo, repite la misma letra pero cantada en tres estilos diferentes, uno de ellos registrado como copla. Así que quizá la palabra francesa sea la "copia" y no el origen.
Es verdad que la copla resurgió con fuerza a partir de los años 20, y recibió mucha influencia del flamenco (en algunas canciones incluso hay partes de uno y otra).
