1:47 pm EST. Thank you so much. I had a small interior house fire. Carpet and foam underlayment. I have soot throughout my home. Thank you. Hopefully this will make cleanup a little easier and faster. Now if I was just younger.
Glad it helped, really sorry about the house fire. Now if we were all just younger, we are feeling our age as we try to live on a sailboat. Things hurt that never hurt before.

I had an air-conditioning pump burn up on my boat. The irony of this is I had just paid to have it immaculately cleaned the cleaning lady turn the AC on to get the humidity out of the air. However, she didn’t know you had to turn the valve on to allow water to the pump, when I open the companionway, the smoke below out the suit is so bad it’s unreal after watching your video you’ve given me. Hope you guys are cute and I like your videos. Keep up the good work and LA awesome does work.
You are very welcome! Those pumps are pricey. Both ac pumps on our boat are burnt out and have not messed with them because of so many other projects. I'm glad LA awesome worked for you. Maybe it will help clean boatyard dirt off ours.

Great advice, we use denatured alcohol on our sailboats gelcoat.

I'm already voting for the awesome! I knowtl that stuff kicks major butt in stain removal, I know that you have to rinse it real good though. Another good thing I use awesome for is the sides of your tennis shoes (vans, converse, etc) use it to clean scuffs and stains around white rubber sole along sides, it's literally awesome 😂

thanks for this. i had a grease fire in the kitchen. soot has been there for years. ive tried everything to get it off. come to find out magic erasers work on soot too, but that's a lot of scrubbing and my shoulders are already hurting. i have only a small patch cleaned and the erasers don't last long. i had heard about la totally awesome from a coworker but he hadn't used it before, but said his uncle used it for soot. im glad you gave it a test. ill get some after work tomorrow. thank you for this video.
Magic eraser are awesome for small things, my wife uses them all the time, they just wear out so fast. We hope that you get your soot gone in your kitchen.

@@jc_yadigg great. U need to follow the label for deluding it. It still takes a lot of scrubbing and will take the paint off if your not careful. I recoment using a magic eraser and the totally awsome. Any spot that has like wood filler or something pourous like that is still going to be discolored. Some types of Calk (or maybe just older Calk, I'm not sure what exactly was used in this old house) will remain discolored. Spray it on leave it set like 15min hit it with a magic eraser. Always do a test spot in an out if the way location.
Krud Cutter rocks for everything, even motors!
Don't know how it would do for smoke damage. We live on a boat now, or we would test this.

Simple Green was about the only cleaner we ised in the Army, love the smell as well. Simple Green also works pretty good as a mosquito repellent.
Have not had an issue using Awesome inside, but my wife would probably have an issue. Also thanks for the tip on Pomolive.

I love awesome but it makes me cough. I had my house cleaned from my pellet stove backing up and they did a lousey job. I redid the job with awesome it came out beautifully
Thank you for the feedback. Yes this product has a smell, while not bad, is very strong when first applied. I get the same sensation when people wear to much perfume, but l think the smell of awesome is worth the outcome.
I am same as you. It does clean well, but makes me cough every time I use it. My boys use it and it doesn’t bother them.
The room definitely neeeds to be well ventilated when using large amounts of LA Totally Awesome.

Yes they do, we use them all the time on our sailboat, it would just cost a fortune for this large of an area.

Yes, and hands down the awesome is the best. Cleaned all the porch after I struggled with simple green. I actually tried all this products in large scale and wanted to show this test before I fimshed this spot with awesome.
I just checked the LA cleaner that you used... It says it will even remove "fresh paint" 😅
I'm worried it might be like a sticker remover spray that I used before. It got the sticker off the wall, but it also removed all the surrounding paint lol
I think I'll stick with dawn and a bit of elbow work.

It’s butylene that’s doing the cleaning. That’s why totally awesome works so well.

trying to clean black soot off aluminum overhang ceiling , its black from grilling on the patio when it rains. i was given very expensive estimate from pressure washing guy. im gonna do it myself just curious what to use in my pressure washer ??? dude said he had to order special chemical for fire restoration . i cant afford to pay anyone i have my own machine . ANY SUGGESTIONS?
We just used Awesome and a brush. Didn't want anything that would kill grass since we just sold this house.
Do you use hot, warm or cold water when using LA Awesome?
We use whatever temp came out of the hose on a Florida summer.
I'd like to see what happens if you could mix the cleaner with the power washer water. Then maybe you would not have to scrub by hand? 😊

Fill the spray bottle with 2/3 cleaner, 1/3 water.
@@ChrisDoesWhat thank you, I might try 50/50 but questioned the mix you used as the awesome worked well.
I cant help but wonder if any of these factors could have made this test unreliable-
The fact he used the same scrubber on each test and, by chance?, the results were progressively better. I think it's a bit more realistic to assume that there We're residual detergents on the scrubber aiding the better result. Also, he put the last detergent in the simple green bottle. They could have been leftover residue of some sort from the simple green that was combined with the other detergent, giving the super good result. I'm sure he did a good job rinsing and out. But sometimes these residues are oily and really hard to get off the plastic. Maybe there bonded chemically and permanent.These factors Are obvious and shouldn't be ignored. I wish we could rely on this.

I can tell you the awesome is the best. Was working to clean the back porch and bought theses products over a week. Cleaned the whole porch with awesome, carpet in the house, all the eves, and many other things because we are selling.

It may hurt flat paint, I only have used this on outside paint and sim gloss paint in the house.
