- In a recent video I tested cable length, but in an effort to have all comparisons be of the same performance, I ONLY used a passive reamp. I discovered that the Reamp mitigates quite a bit of the high frequency loss you’d expect, and wanted to hear the cables run directly between the guitar and the DI.

In a recent video I discovered that the Redeye Passive DI/Reamp does a great job of mitigating tone loss.. but I wanted to HEAR how well, so this video I tested recording a DI straight from guitar to DI and ALSO from Reamp to DI. Plus more!

Hey, I see what they’re doing.. I think it’s kind of cool. Interesting that they made them look better. As far as I can tell in my phone anyway. Updated meters look good.
Dang I don’t need more preamps but…. A single
Channel of MPA might squeeze in somewhere. Then again, I loved my old MPA on overheads so might as well get the old one. (Mine was Revive modded and I never should have sold it but… every so often I decide I’m done with ART).
@@SHUTUPANDRECORD Yeah the new stuff looks OK, probably pretty versatile. I'm still digging my TransX and could use more but the real surprise is the Dual Limiter - 2 channels of clean PWM compression for around $200. Worth checking out. Revive does mods on those but it ends up being the cost of 2 units. I'm sick of modding stuff and having trouble including later reselling. The new comp doesn't have sidechain or else I'd probably try it.
That buffer really did its job.
It’s incredible really. To somebody who’s only ever used a boss tuner at the front of a chain. I’m putting a pretty over the top pedal board thing together this week and I’m so glad I spent a little more and got that Peterson. It’s like, well I think it’s my favorite pedal. (And it’s the tuner! 🤷♂️🤦♂️)
@@SHUTUPANDRECORD Yeah, that's honestly way, way more mileage than I'd expect from even the finest of pedal buffers. Pretty wild stuff.
