    Materials
    3 glasses of water
    1 teaspoon salt
    6 cups of flour
    To lubricate the dough
    125 g butter
    100gr oil
    For the interior material
    500gr leeks
    1 onion
    1 teaspoon salt
    black pepper, cayenne pepper, ground red pepper
    1 teaspoon tomato paste
    4 tablespoons of oil

      My grandma (Baba) from Yugoslavia would make the dough the night before and let it rest. Then in the morning she would put a damp sheet on the dining room table and stretch the whole thing out over the table. We would be so impressed watching her. She would then "throw" melted butter, sugar, pieces of jack cheese and and eggs beaten thick and frothy with baking powder which helped it all rise. We called that Pita also. Her sister would make her's a strudel. (Not sure of the spellings) California Girl

    This is called pita in Bosnia/ Serbia . It a really delicious dish, and it is very inexpensive, if you need to feed a lot of people. You can fill it up with potatoes, or meat too. I have eaten this many times, and it’s always been a winner. A lovely friend has made it for me and has also thought me how to make it. Made with love. Enjoyed it with gratitude.

      Luckily leeks are also quite a cheap vegetable to buy… One of my favourites for Børek is spinach and feta cheese, soooo good! You can also mix spinach and kale, if that’s something you have.

      Just follow this recipe and measure ingredients and rest pastry before stretching.
      Using 000 flour is advisable
      Sift the flour and research for more filings. Experiment with different ingredients pastry is the same for sweet or savery felling
      Try green apples a lot sugar and cinnamon ( fresh greted apples not canned )
      Good cooking

    I know the dough can stretch a lot. I laminate like this to strengthen my bread dough before shaping and baking. Except not as thin as yours. But I'll love to try. What a great video and idea. Thank you!! ❤️

    My grandmother used to do this with sweet pumpkin and cinnamon filling and the dough was stretched on a with tablecloth that also was helpful to roll it. Good job!

    Hi! I'm watching from Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. This is interesting. I'd love to try it out. I'm not experienced with flour (beyond paper maché anyway) but this looks so good I may give it a go on a scaled down version.
