AMEND THE LAW AGAINST HOME & COMMUNITY GARDENING

The call is made on the Government of Ghana to amend the Local Government Acts 462 of 1993 which makes it illegal to have a home garden in a residential area with more than 5,000 people.
To ensure #foodsecurity , #foodsafety , #foodsupply #foodnutrition the government of Ghana needs to amend this act to pave way for individuals and communities to freely engage in community and home gardening. Community & Home garden is an essential right to food security and safety of a people and this right must be upheld.
