Yes, Harry and Meghan's wedding was beautiful and wonderful! My favorite parts were their vows; Bishop Curry's message about LOVE for God and LOVE for each; and the Kingdom Choir singing "Stand by Me". Just lovely! Btw, I never thought I would ever agree with Megyn Kelly about anything, but I TOTALLY agree with her about curtsying to Queen Elizabeth. She seems to be a lovely person, but I bow to no one but God.
Bowing and curtsying are two different kinds of respect.
When I see William and Kate, I see duty and respect. I don't see affection and love. But for Harry and Merghan... Fire of love
You think so? When I see Will and Kate I see a couple who are genuinely in love yet respectful of the duties bestowed on them. I'm not so sure about Meghan, there is something in the back of my mind that that has alarm bells ringing about her...hmmmm
Jesse Jones You think that way because Mergan is not from Britain. If she was , there won't be any doubt of what her intentions are. She is coming from a different background , different race, and different culture into a Royal family full of norms and traditions , there tends to be a lot of external judgements and assessments from everybody. There is nothing wrong with her. Kate seems to be very nice person , but I don't see that love connection between her and William, If there was, it can never be hidden . Anyway, Love or duty, I wish both brothers and theirs wives joy and happiness .

Oh Megan Kelly, you went to England & you came back still ignorant. The reality is no one (including British people) has to curtsy or bow to the Queen. People do it out of tradition & respect. Having said that, if it was tradition to turn around 3 times & kiss the president of the United States on hand I (s a non American) would do it out of the respect for the America, Americans & tradition. If you are not prepared to respect the tradition of a foreign country you travel to you should not be going there.

jackie floyd I understand what you are saying but I try not to judge the masses by a few ignorant individuals. I know not all Americans are disrespectful & shallow. Sometimes MK (from what I've seen) can be nice but I don't really think she thought her comments through & they were based on pure ignorance. I was surprised the British guy sat there didn't correct her. So much nonsense is talked about the British Monarchy because people think the Monarchy they see in movies & TV shows is based on fact & 9 time out of 10 it isn't. MK obviously enjoyed her visit to Windsor & the wedding but when she made those comments I wanted to inform her that the simple truth is no has to curtsy and bow to the Queen. I just wished she'd at least come away from the experience having learned a few things. Her comments also made me wish that one of many Americans who would have loved to have been there to experience this historical event it in person could have taken her place as obviously more deserving.
She's right I saw a doc on protocol for the queen on PBS once. If she is staying in a hotel visiting another country, the help has to wash, dry & iron the bed sheets THREE times. Who would do that for you even if you had a contagious disease? No humans are born gods....it's not like the deserve disrespect, but William Penn & the Quakers were right about pushing equality between humans

Brides always curtsey to the Queen, if she is attending their wedding, but nobody is compelled to curtsey or bow to Her Majesty or any member of the royal family. I was proud to be British on Royal Wedding day. We do these events best!

I found some comments made by Megyn so inappropriate.
The members of the Royal Family curtsey and bow as a mark of respect (who curtseys and bows to whom is complicated) in the same way that you Americans would address your President as Mr President or Sir. As a British Citizen and one of Her Majesty's Loyal Subjects I am not forced to bow to any member of the Royal Family. That said I would show them respect for instance I would never say 'alright Lizzie' when being introduced to Her Majesty it would be Your Majesty in the first instance and then Ma'am and I would observe Royal Protocol. There are no hard and fast rules and there is nothing set in stone and if you wish to curtsey (Ladies) when meeting a member of the British Royal Family then feel free to do so, but you, American or otherwise, are in no way whatsoever required to do so.

According to British etiquette expert William Hanson Megyn is correct, Americans do not have to curtsy before the Queen because we are not her subjects. It's not required for anyone per se but subjects are expected to curtsy if they care about proper etiquette when meeting the Queen.

It's out of respect for the woman that was the women's forces during ww2, has given 65 years of service travelling pushing British agendas, bringing huge revenues and tourism. England is great at branding and the Royal family do us a great service. Even now, this wedding was no mistake, we are out of the EU and about to push the commonwealth. The Queen is the Head of state to 50 countries, Harry is now about to tour and take over that role.

I'm with Hoda. I liked her Evening Gown better than I liked the Wedding Dress. The dress was appropriate for a Royal Wedding but it was still missing something.
4daluvofnikki yes. loved the reception gown better. I adored the tiara and that gorgeous veil. the wedding dress was too big on her. it should have been fitted to her body more and she needed a sparkling crystal belt around the waist.

How much does she get paid? I am sure millions. A job someone else can do for a fraction what she gets. And she hasn't, like many other American anchors, clue about rest of the world. I always find it cringy when they report on other countries whilst they are not fully informed. For example, Larry King often would often interview world figures on things he didn't have a clue about.
And why does Kelly care where Meghan Markle makes her home? As if Kelly would care about an African-American if she weren't married to Royalty. Remember the 'Jesus was white' farce. I thoroughly enjoyed MSNBC's coverage. I'm glad I taped it. I've looked at it about five times already. Stephanie Rule's coverage was the best!. Katy Tur was annoying. Joy Reid called Harry the Spare. I said, What! He's the Man of the Hour and she's saying the heir and the spare? Somebody must have pointed that out to her, because she got quiet, then she came back and called him the man of the hour. I get annoyed with Joy each time I hear that. But their coverage was lively. Glad I tuned in at MSNBC.
