Could you see this happening in the USA. the school would have them arrested and thrown in a mental institution. But, don’t get me wrong, I think this ancient tradition is great then and even more now. These young people have a great bond in the HAKA between them and for them to the audience. It shows great pride and unity! Great going!!!!

So I'm not Polynesian in any way. But from the comments I see maybe some Nzrs maybe didn't like it? Why? I'm curious. From what I gather all over the pacific they have their own chants. I love and respect it I think its beautiful. But why was this "wrong" I genuinely just don't understand. I sincerely mean no disrespect in any way shape or form.

Im from New Zealand. Done kapa haka most of my years in school through college. Absolutely nothing wrong with this haka. When we are taught in kapa haka, the leader (kaea) are usually very strict, they would smack our legs and backs with sticks (rakau's) to keep them in the right positions. They were very loud and stern. No back talk or nothing. This would also give you the anger you needed to fuel yourself for it😂😂. what im trying to say is a lot of us are disciplined in it for years, so if we see the slightest thing wrong with one, we notice. I dont agree with any comments on here about this haka though. Loved it. Boys had mana and went hard, the school was feeling the mana, thats all you need really.
