The opening scene where Bruce has his monologue, the music blasting, criminals fearing the shadow of the unknown, and then hearing Batman’s heavy footsteps walking, was a masterful scene. Really shows the essence of Batman in this movie.

The cops were pissed at Batman because they wanted to defuse the bomb with their robot. Batman did his best to save the guy, but as far as they're concerned, he interfered in police business and someone died as a result. I follow some reactors that doesn’t care about the views and money and they do go to the theaters and then give a review, but most of the reactors only care about the money. For example; Brandon Likes Movies, Omn1Media, GETJaby, Holden Hardman, MovieFusion, etc, they saw NWH and The Batman in theaters. But then you have these other reactors that waited for NWH and The Batman to release on digital to make money.
I have a 4k tv and a good soundbar, so if I don’t watch a movie in theaters because I wasn’t sure I still get a good experience but these reactors has 1080p monitors, a lot of lights in their rooms, etc, I can’t see myself enjoying a movie like The Batman with how they watch it (and talking a lot for the video).

True Romance as in with Clarence & Alabama? Just watch it again good Jim sir.
As per this case, there is a different reason for the peeping in both cases... I was initially about to say 1 is for work other is for pleasure but that would be a lie, Bruce Wayne pleasure AND curse is to be Batman... Batmanning will lead to peeping, a lot.
I have worked as private eye before, it's 80% peeping 20% actual talking to people/action. Studying people and their habits/flaws is the bread and butter of detective work. Watch and learn they said... Only confront when enough has been accumulated. In most movies (not specifically Batman), we only see the 20% of that work, the fun part. A bit of the other but they fastrack it so much it is ridiculous.
Exemple: They follow a dude to place X and make a bust the same night or weekend. Just following a dude and ensuring the spot is the right one may take a long while. That's the realistic boring part we don't have here....
Batman being the world's greatest detective also makes him the world's richest, weirdest, most serious and least interested in your romantic life peeping tom ever.

I loved every part of this film, from soundtracks to the whole atmosphere. Even without "the batman", it's a great detective movie. I've talked about this with my friend that the whole movie itelf is decent enough and the character Batman makes it even more interesting. They tried to stay away from the usual superhero shticks as much as possible. I also loved that here, Bruce is still going through a lot, he's not an unbeatable madman and Pattison was perfect for this role. In recent years, I've honestly fed up with superhero movies. These new dark, gloomy DC movies are breath of fresh air for me. I'm glad it did well in box office, so they'll probably make another movie.

If you watch TDK trilogy Pich Meeting videos on CZcams, you soon realize just how much of the Nolan trilogy doesn't actually make much sense and if you take Heath Ledger out of TDK, it is an average film. In the Pitch Meeting vid for this film, they struggled to find anything out of place. That speaks volumes. This is probably the first Batman film in which Batman was the most interesting character (by a wide margin. And the villains were so good!), the first to bring him back to his roots as 'The World's Greatest Detective' ('DC' originally being 'Detective Comics', afterall) and the first film to realize that the old "Billionaire playboy persona" is not a requirement for a good Bruce Wayne story (as the animated series demonstrated years ago). Best on-screen Batman and the best Batman film ever made. No question

Didn’t expect this reaction, can’t wait to watch it when I get out of work. I strongly recommend getting into DC tv shows or movies. Much more variety than what marvel has to offer in terms of tone and layout. If you were to watch the DCEU movies (DC’s Marvel’s MCU) the timeline goes :
    1. Wonder Woman
    2. Wonder Woman 1984
    3. Man of Steel
    4. Batman V Superman (Ultimate edition)
    5. Suicide Squad
    6. Justice League / Zack Snyder’s justice league
    7. Aquaman
    8. Shazam

    10. The Suicide Squad
    11. Peacemaker (HBO Max)

lol sure it does. This is the only one with a thematic message that remained consistent with tone and execution through the entire movie and reached a conclusion with a value statement and a transformed hero.
Shazam is interesting, and will have more coming up soon. But thanks to Ezra their universe plans going forward are likely fucked again. Marvel has far more diversity in tone, hell just watch Eternals. It was a C tier marvel movie that lost too much to cuts to shrink runtime but its an A tier DCEU movie that manages to tell the kind of story BvS and Justice league wanted but with characters that weren't the cookie cutter heroes with either boring motivations or also boring motivations but they are sad about it. DC has plenty of interesting stories, they just haven't turned any of them into live action movies - and either shortsighted directors or overzealous studio notes seem to dictate the narrative arc of most of them. Their animated stuff legitimately was a cinematic universe in the oughts.

Overall I enjoyed the movie from a visual standpoint, loved Gotham City looked amazing very Arkham Knight (Video Game) the mix of old meets new Gotham that 1930s gothic look meets modern 2020 and hints of 1970s/1980s. Wish we saw a little bit more art deco designs but this is more of a nit-pick. Of course this movie also had modern tech what you'd expected in the 2020s with those massive Monitors on the side of buildings adding so much to the overall look of the city, modern version of classic 1930s billboards.
You may be wondering why I brought up Modern tech when Batman movies like the Nolan Trilogy had a modern day setting. But both Tim Burtons and more so The Animated Series had this very timeless 1930s look from the fashion to the cars and the architecture but it also had modern tech (for the 90s) as the series was set in the 1990s, Gotham just had this really cool hybrid of old and new. The Batman film doesn't go as much into that look but you can see little elements of Gotham past something I really enjoyed.
I also love the classic 1950s style diner where Riddler was captured just felt so much like the opening of Arkham Knight and it's Gotham in general which drew from every depiction of Gotham from the Neon Lights of Joel Schumacher Gotham to the more retro 1930s artistic from the Burton movies and of course the modern day artistic featured in the Nolan movies. This film nailed the Gothic look while also keeping it more grounded.
Wish we got a little bit more retro vibes maybe have some Blimps overhead (actually could've came in handy when the city flooded you know with transport and supplies) along with some retro looking posters and adverts, adore the location where Bruce talked to Falcone that looked very Tim Burton/Arkham series. I enjoyed the city more than the The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises which really lacked that Gothic artistic and felt more like Chicago than Gotham but were still great movies, music was also amazing very much inspired by Shirley Walker who was the composer for the Batman Animated Series creating some of the best Batman music to date.

Wasn't a big fan of this rendition of Bruce Wayne felt movies like Mask of the Phantasm (Highly recommend watching it) did a way better job at dealing with the conflict between a younger Bruce and Batman but I can see this version developing overtime which is something I can't wait to see in the sequels.
This film drew heavily from the Batman Earth-One issues in one key area. Martha Wayne being an Arkham instead of a Kane pulled right from Batman Earth-One. In almost all renditions Martha is a Kane just like Bruce's cousin Kate Kane who is of course Bat woman. Maybe Kate still exists in this universe but as an Arkham but who knows. Alfred also trained Bruce in both Earth-One and this film with the Earth-One Alfred being a Royal Marine. Since Frank Millers Year One comic Bruce has spent his early years exploring the world coming back to Gotham like we see in Batman Begins which is where he learnt to fight.
My ideal Sequel would 100% be a movie focused around Mister Freeze inspired by his appearance in the Batman Animated Series would both give us an interesting villain but also a fun setting go more for a winter theme with blue overtones instead of Red maybe add more colour instead of the film being dark 24/7. Glad you enjoy the film and cannot wait for any future Batman movies/Shows you react to.

I also am hoping for Mr. Freeze. I think he will pose a unique challenge to this Batman who is trying to become a symbol of hope. It will directly challenge his new motivations considering how sympathetic Freeze can be juxtaposed with the destruction he often wreaks. Trying to stop him will test his newfound ideology.

It really is a tough choice, I don’t think there’ll ever be a villain played as well as Heath Ledger’s Joker and both movies have absolutely exceptional performances from almost everyone. Though I think Christian Bale’s Batman let’s TDK down just a little, whereas I don’t think there’s a single performance that wasn’t great in this movie. For me it comes down to, does Joker make up for Batman in TDK, personally I’m not sure. I feel like that fact that every actor/actress in that movie was so amazing makes it more obvious how iffy Batman was.
