The group learn about their strengths and weaknesses.
In Jumanji:The Next Level, the gang is back (Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan) but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. Jack Black's acting skills are extremely underrated. Between his roles from the last movie and this one, his range is actually crazy.
He did quite well with the accent too
He was pretty good at doing a voice that makes hem sound like a girl is in his body
You should see him in Don't Worry He Won't Get Far On Foot, Bernie, School of Rock and High Fidelity. He's great on those.

It feels like heat and sun is redundant
Y'know, I keep hearing they're gonna make a third movie, with the game coming to the real world like the original. If that is the case, I would REALLY like the characters to come out as well with their actual personalities and interact with the kids. I don't know why, but I keep picturing Jack Black's characters as British, which I would LOVE to see. He's played a preppy, 18-year-old girl, a tough black dude, I wanna see Jack Black with a British accent!
I think that the characters have their actual personalities is the whole idea of the 3rd one. Maybe they wven remember their players.
There is a large possibility that a third movie in this line of movies will be made, considering the end credits scene of the Jumanji animals escaping into the real world.

@@eeveeinateacup269 Aside from a casual mention/easter egg of Robin Williams' character in Welcome to the Jungle, there's not much to connect the OG Jumanji to these two. You can consider them all part of the same series, or you can consider the OG to be a standalone film. That's my opinion, anyway.

I don't wanna start an argument, I just wanted to say how I saw it
Fridge *really* seems to have it bad when going into Jumanji for the second time as not only is he in a non-badass avatar again but said avatar is also given several more weaknesses and the first one to lose a life. This all seems extrememly unfair until you remember that, at the end of the last film, Fridge was the one who dropped the bowling ball on it to try and destroy it. Makes sense that Jumanji is pissed off with him!

Milo confused a heart attack with a *stroke.* I believe he described the symptoms of a stroke pretty well actually. One side shutting down, including the face, getting confused or randomly weak. The way Eddie's face contorts and the vacant expression, it's a little bit like a stroke (but not that much).

The point of the Jack Black character is to be played by those saido masochistic gamers who like playing on super ultra mega definitely gonna die hardcore nightmare difficulty.
You got a point, they basically gave him every possible relevant weakness. Endurance to slow him down, and of course the deserts. Then a bunch of apparently useless abilities (archaeology, paleontology) that presumably are used in some sort of secret quest that gets you special items/powers that only the hard core gamers know about. So yes I guess he is the handicap character for pro level players.
In the first film they made Moose the punchline.
In this one, they made Shelly the punchline.
Apparently the producers like messing with Fridge.
