  • Don't you just love glamming up your bike? Changing this and that. The original rear rack on my Voge 300 Rally is a good rack, but I wanted something a bit bigger, so I got one from Uncle Wangshop. Here is is my personal experience and opinion of the rack, and my dealing with the company.

Thanks. Also thank you for saving my life. My sisters were trying to convince me to move back to Yorkshire. I got your comment just in time! 😂

I totally concur with your "I love living here". I moved in 2000 from Holland and not one second of regret.
Thanks for showing us the rack and going through all the trouble of communicating with Uncle Wang.
I guess I would have taken it to a local blacksmith and ask him to weld 2 pieces of pipe on.Ten euro max. But, maybe now I wont have to when I order it.
I am told I should get my 300 Rally today or tomorrow. Paperwork. We´ll see...It is Portugal, after all.🙂
While I am here, have you heard of the Eastbound moto winch? At 71 I am not as strong as I used to be. Tbh I did only order my bike after I was sure I could pick it up after dropping it. It is a well made piece of kit and once you figured out how it works it gets you up and riding again in 5 minutes. There´s some demo videos of it on yt. Maybe you already covered it, havent seen all your videos yet.
Cheers! We have some beautiful weather coming...

Thanks for your support. I wanted to let Uncle Wang know there was a problem and give them the chance to resolve it. Seems like the fair thing to do.
I have heard of that winch and watched a video about it. It seemed like a lot to carry and time consuming to use. When I noticed my body turning to flab, I went to the gym and had a year of strength training with a personal trainer. It was well worth it. Now I have my own routine at home.
Good luck with the new motorcycle, and hope you are able to enjoy it . Until it gets too darn hot. 😂

@@livelongrideonover70 Good for you ! getting in shape again. The winch indeed looks cumbersome in use, those guys needed to fill youtube time I guess...but actually after figuring out at home, the first time, how it fits together, and practising assembling it once or twice without a bike, you can leave the most "difficult" parts in place when not in use, and being back on ones way again is a matter of mere minutes. The 2 kilos extra weight and bulkyness is well worth it for me, even if just for peace of mind. I like to ride alone and where not everybody else is already.
And there are people who not are just lazy, like me, but have some disability.

@@gammaraygem I can see where it would have some applications and be useful. Bikes never fall in textbook fashion. I've had to drag mine out of a couple of tricky situations. 🥵

So why not just fit a plate??
