    Very interesting. Especially the engine bracket. I needed one for a crank driven hydraulic pump and trapped a 1/4” steel plate between the sump and the engine block. It has worked very well :o)

    In my opinion, if you have all the associated linkage and hardware to drive it, it could be worth a couple thousand.

    Now is the first time I've been seen the winch using the torque directly from engine without use PTO shaft from gearbox or the use electric motor 😶😶

    I was wondering if you can help me place a value on my Jeep? It's a early 1946 CJ2A MB all original sheet metal with no rot holes, three on the tree, all vin tags in place and are correct, it also has a title from the second owner dated 1957. I have the original soft doors but not the rest of the top. The floors and tool box are like new. If the Jeep was blasted and painted it would look like new. VIN 11711

      Jay that sounds like a great Very Early Civilian (VEC) Willys. Being that complete the early ones are fairly sought after, but it's all about finding the right buyer. I'd love to see some pictures sent to my e-mail. Does it have the cutouts on the left side below the door? What condition is the engine? Is it original? ("MB" is a military jeep)

    I have an early 46 with a winch but I think I have a driveshaft driven one. Can you tell me what the difference is? Ty, Jay.

    • @grandpajeep186
      @grandpajeep186  Před 6 lety +1

      Just check behind the winch and see if there is a driveshaft going back to the transfer case, that's PTO driven. If not send me a picture looking up behind the winch and I'll get back to you.

    • @jaylongton
      @jaylongton Před 6 lety

      Yes, there is a driveshaft. Is that factory? It's an early 46 model three on tree.

    • @grandpajeep186
      @grandpajeep186  Před 6 lety

      The winch, driveshaft and control hardware were most likely installed after the factory. Is there a PTO control lever between the seats?
