we graduated from the university of bristol! yz actually postponed his november graduation to february so we could graduate together, but it turned out our ceremonies were on different days anyway oh well ☁️ my parents came to visit from malaysia as well and we toured the UK for a bit before the graduation day 🥂

my graduation is on wednesday but i am not sure if i am going to go... is the experience worth it? i don't have anyone to go with me

Congratulations on your graduation! ✨ Personally I think the experience was quite meaningful as you get to walk up the stage in Wills Memorial and don your grad caps at the same time with everyone else when cued (which bristol does differently to other unis). While it feels like a fulfilling way to conclude and celebrate your degree completion I appreciate that there are quite a few costs involved like the official gown hire (£50+) and optional photography (£60+). You can also purchase a video of you walking across the stage. And of course you have the chance to take pictures with your coursemates as well to commemorate the occasion 🧑🏻‍🎓🥳 if you do go I hope you enjoy your time there, if not then I’m sure there are other ways to celebrate your graduation as well ❤️
