Hot Wheels GTX Restoration - Diecast Resurrection. In todays video I do I clean restoration on a 2010 Hot Wheels '67 Plymouth GTX. We ended up doing a red on red and you wouldn't believe its the same car.

I remember when these were fresh out of the factory back in the day.
The '67-'70 GTX, Roadrunner, Satellite all shared pretty much the same body panels. The difference was the rear panels, grille and interior bits.

This is one of my favourites so far. The window frame detailing really brings it to life
When I was a kid, my Dad had a 63 (64?) Ford Galaxie that was like a royal blue metallic with red interior, and I've got to say leaving the interior red on this one completely fits the style of that model 😉
When your die-cast car ends up looking like a real car you know your skills are on point. Seriously. In all the years I've been watching this channel you've become so good at this it's amazing.

This thing turned out perfect I’d say. It’s clean and simple and it just works with the red interior. The chrome and the wheels really made that casting pop
Looking good Austin. That red really suits it. You missed a perfect street machine opportunity. The fire extinguisher you could of changed it and painted it to a NOS bottle.

I got hit by zinc pest on one of my models, the paint was crazing and blistering, and the casring was like the surface of the moon, it has since crumbled to dust! Livid is an understatement
You know, I was thinking you would make a crazy complex paint job, but sometimes the KISS method works best, great work man.

Like Glass, just a smooth paint job. I think a little paint on the Seats would be good or the dash. Give a little life to the interior.

Love it. My favorite color is bright rich red like that and those black tires with the chrome mags make that awesome paint job pop even more! You need to photograph this and some of your others and post them as PC wallpapers.

I cannot stand chrome plastic bases or interiors, so I soak them in Super Clean . Takes about 15 - 30 minutes usually, and you're left with the black plastic . No scrubbing , chrome just disappears.
I love your solution for the windows, I'll have to try that.
