  • Hello Everyone! My dear friend took the time to make my a new rosary by hand, customizing it with my favorite colors and styles. What better way to relax than to take a look at it--and a listen to it--with some gentle hand movements. In this video I speak up close to the mic. There are also some enjoyable tinkling and fabric sounds. Enjoy!

    I remember that my mother or maybe one of my aunts had a rosary made of some special wood that had a natural fragrance (maybe rosewood? but I was quite young so I don't recall). So at least back then, there were scented rosaries.

      Ooooo, Rosewood would be so nice! I think incense would be another great fragrance because we associate it with church.

    What a lovely and thoughtful friend to make you that Rosary. That's so sweet. Maybe you could make a pray the Rosary with this one, if you want of course

      She is a lovely person. I'm so grateful she'd take the time to make one for me. I'd love to do a "pray the Rosary" with this one. Good idea. I can say it for everyone's intentions! I also plan to use it in my adoration, one, but that won't be on screen (if I can ever figure it out, haha).

      @@catholicasmr5125 in my church we always finish the prayer with praying for the unsaid words people didn't mention or write but were on the lips. I think that's so thoughtful, so who knows, even if not many people leave an intention I'm sure they were listening to you and thinking of something when you mentioned you would pray for others. Either way it's very thoughtful of you to want to do that in your roleplay.

      @@Dryadkal That is lovely. We don't need to know intentions to pray, care and love!

    Thank you for the show & tell 📿 😊 What a nice friend!
    I found the tracing of the lovely Japanese-style case (a very striking blue!), and the cross of your new Rosary particularly tingly. As with everything else too- your gentle voice, hand movements & fabric scratching.
    Rosary rotisserie was quite droll 🤭
    Have a lovely week ahead.

    How do you find your faith again?

    • @catholicasmr5125
      @catholicasmr5125  Před 2 lety +6

      Hi Anna. That is a super deep and potentially difficult question, depending on why you believe you've lost your faith. I'm not a theologian (or even a catechist), but there are some great resources out there. This video came up on my feed today, and Ascension Presents could be a place to start looking for insight: czcams.com/video/cU8stlV0DLg/video.html
      If you're looking for something more intellectual--and I think deeper--I recommend looking at the videos of Bishop Robert Barron and his associated channel Word on Fire. They do amazing work.
      As a very basic thought, one thing I can recommend is not mistaking feeling/emotion for faith. If you're waiting to "feel" something, it's easy to be mistaken or misled. I think (again, not an expert) if you turn your mind and spirit toward God (in prayer, at Mass, reading Catholic works, spending time with Catholics), you'll start to notice (slowly probably) some of what you're seeking to find. I'll pray for you!
