Elton is a true gentleman. In 1984 I caught Elton as he was going into the Sebel Town House and asked him to wait for me to run to the car and get my Goodbye Yellow Brick road album for him to sign. He did. He signed it. In fact, the entire band and Bernie also signed the record. One of my prized possessions to this day. God bless you, Elton -you have done many beautiful things for humanity.
he will never remember me but when I was 16 I meet him as a rocket records in Wardour street he was so nice to me, remembering now how my father treated me as a kid and how music was my life and I had loved his music above all, I feel he deserves to be as the loverly man he is ,to think of him as kind and caring, I will never forget how you treated me with a kind heart
As a lifelong, dedicated EJ fan, this is by far the best interview he's ever done. Candid, casual, comfortable - it shows us how real he is, despite his enormous fame, achievements and career. Thank you
Dear Elton, huge thanks to you and Bernie for all the music, for all these years. I can't imagine not having your music in my life. The absence of that would truly be a tragedy. Keep on rockin' !
Watched many interviews that EJ's given and it's noticeable how he never fails to give full credit to those who've helped his career, those he's learned from etc. Sign of a true star in my opinion.
This interviewer is phenomenal! He let Elton do 95% of the talking. He listened intently and helped guide the interview without any obvious agenda of how he wanted it to go. American’s would do well to do the same. Brilliant!
This just is not "an interview"! It's a wonderful chat with "a friend" to many. Super to see and hear Elton in his natural surroundings and not as "a showman". This is lovely, at last, to see Elton like this. A different side. Happy Birthday Elton.
WOW.... This has got to be the best interview I have ever seen with Elton John. At 70 he is still so sharp and knowledgeable. I cannot imagine someone who has not been impacted by his music.

Since Rocketman, I watch all Elton's interviews. Not only he's an awesome pianist, composer and singer but he's also a very smart person...
It's time for Bernie Taupin to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the non-performers category.

Elton has always been one of my top musicians. Love that man - such a decent and giving human being.
Can't be compared to any other single rocknroll artist. He stands alone.
