- Hey everyone! Welcome back to Thunder RC! In this video I have the all new M2C Racing Xmaxx Center Drive Shaft and I bash the living heck out of it! I take the Xmaxx to the skatepark for some epic bashing and then send it massive off the terminator ramp landing on the asphalt and concrete!! I also managed to land a bump flip to terminator ramp transfer backflip!!!! The driveshaft held up perfectly! Truly this is a must upgrade for your Traxxas Xmaxx! Definitely a cool solution but not the first good one. The two-piece drive shaft with a bearing in the middle in a 3D printed holder works extremely well and is fairly inexpensive.

Congrats again on joining the team that provides both M2C as a company and me as a pretty active basher... to be so sure that I absolutely have no reason to think that every last dollar (almost literallylol) is spent on parts that been put through anything and everything ill ever throw at them when using m2c parts to push the limits of these already very capable rigs💯 But if so much as strip a screw or slightly bend a shaft im coming for you thunder!!! 😂Kinda felt like a superhero saying that lol but for real congrats and happy to know that I have an xmaxx in my near (slightly financially unstable) future now that this weakness of the xmaxx seems like uts been addressed although this new part/design has yet to be released ive hot all the faith in m2c qnd their team of testers who I absolutely trust with my kids college tuition money....I mean rc budget🍻👊🥳

Super cool that you are now an M2C tester Rocky. You’ve elevated yourself into that Duperbash, Rcdude81 realm and I’m happy for you…….now a hard physics question,…….is the extra 3 feet of ramp helping your launches at all? If you are using that extra wood for potential acceleration I can understand, but from a projectile motion standpoint….the angle is the same as it is from the original build. Are you gaining that much more altitude from the mod?

I have the beefcake package for the outcast 8s exb. along with the overkill outdrives, shock upgrades and all! Pretty stoked to get everything put in. I'm running the 800 kv castle combo, can't get a wheelie for the life of me! My center diff or gearing? Can you suggest any suggestions how get the punch you have from the start?
Wish m2c had some diff cups and spider gears for the 6s kraton exb I’m sick and tired of my diffs stripping every other run. No matter how much I shim them they strip after a few runs mainly the rear is the problem. But that center driveshaft is designed awesome love m2c parts they’re amazing.
Man I am having the same problems with my kraton 6s exb 🤣🤣😱I feel your pain. Maybe I can talk it over with everyone and see if M2C will consider making some differential upgrades for the arrma 6s lineup 👍

Why didn't they just make both ends the same so both pins were captured by the bearings? Just seems odd to have the one end of the cvd go so far into the tube. I mean, if they are making the bones, tube and the bearing holder, just seems weird. Or are the bones some off the shelf ones like for the xmaxx outer cvd's?

just got the m2c chassis driveshaft upgrade yesterday and I've been trying to unsuccessfully seperate the front end of the truck from the rest of the truck ( i do like the modular design but it is frusterating when you follow the instructions and it still dont come apart) meaning i removed all the necessary screws below the chassis and above including the one screw that holds i think the servo arm maybe? Now i will be honest and let yall know i ran into a slight problem when i removed the screws from the front of i believe its the motor brace? They are about half way up on the shock tower and connect the tower to the brace well i got them all out but the front left. I actually think i screwed it in too tight initally and when i went to back it out i am pretty sure i stripped it. I tried to get it out for like 45 min. No joke so i ended up cutting the screw in half to unbind it from the tower and brace. Dont worry i have spares but unfortunately they arent stainless steel but they will do for now. And I'm still stuck with the inital problem. All the hardware is out with the exception of that screw that was cut in half and the front end should pull right apart and it does not. Idk if i jammed it real good last weekend when i had it out bc it flipped a few times and landed on its nose bumper first. Any ideas would be appreciated. I've also thought about cutting the driveshaft in half and getting it out that way as i wont be needing it once i upgrade it to m2c but idk I'm worried I'm gonna cut thru something that is needed to make the m2c parts work.

ok M2C, now you have the machining figured out. We want the driveshafts, and you also need to create a clear lexan window skit plate so we can see how awesome all the machine work was. Shame to cover all that up with just black plastic.
That’s an awesome DriveShaft mod for sure looks like it’s build solid and will hopefully solve that bashing problem.

@@thunderrc I'm putting a Castle Mamba Monster X 8s system in my new Kraton EXB. Couldn't pass up the price for the black Friday deal. So far I've had bad luck with Arrma, but it's just part of the hobby. I've got the Arrma Outcast 8s RTR and bought a used 3s Typhon. The Outcast I have only got 1 pair of packs to hit LVC. Lol. Oh well. The Typhon I've only ran twice first run the shock rod end broke and I lost the spring, second run the slipper came loose. Simple fixes, but getting bothersome with my luck. Lol. I'm hoping my luck changes once I get the Kraton electronics in it. I only need a receiver but am unsure if I want to get a 4 channel or a 6 channel. As I'm sure you know with the Castle Smartsense you need an extra open channel to make use of it, so I need at least 3 channels, but I may want to add lights too. I like lights for orientation as I usually only have time to run my RCs in the dark.
How can I get one of those driveshafts? I dont see it on their website
