      Thanks to you for your comment! The big tone difference is due to the different wood, neck thickness, body and neck assembly. They have their own distinctive tone, choose your favorite 👍👍👍!!!

    Good comparison it clear that some songs sound better on a strat body guitar and others on a les Paul. So probably best to have both 😎🎸🎩

    I think they're both equally good in my opinion... The Ibanez is VERY versatile and fun to play, on the other hand the LP has a distinct sound "great for classic rock", but takes a bit more effort to play and get it to do what you want.

    • @GuitarSoundLab
      @GuitarSoundLab  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes I confirm it, they are both a good guitar and they have their own distinctive tone...also for this Ibanez RG series is the same. The choice depends on the music genre and the guitar tone that everyone likes to play 👍

    I have a Gibson Les Paul and an Ibanez RG at home. Imo, the Les Paul sounds better, but it's much easier to play solos with the Ibanez thin neck. The Ibanez' playability is better, in other words. Not an easy choice...

    • @pierreobatista
      @pierreobatista Před 2 lety

      Just to add something to my last comment: I don't like the Ibanez's cleans. For clean sounds, I really prefer the Gibson. I don't know why.

    • @GuitarSoundLab
      @GuitarSoundLab  Před rokem

      I can add that the Gibson Les Paul has more warm and smooth tone than the Ibanez RG...while the Ibanez has more aggressive response and sharp tone for metal...they are both great guitars

  • @A7x_Forever
    @A7x_Forever Před rokem

    I definitely prefer the Ibanez. Personally, I like when a guitar can just rocket punch themselves out of a mix. The Ibanez does exactly that. You have an "exactness" and precision to every single note that you really feel the onset for. This is (probably) not only due to the pickups, but also becquse of the locking trem and bolt-on neck, giving the Ibanez much more "screech" to it's sound. No wonder it's used as a shredding machine. When you play your licks with the RG, you can really articulate every note and really make it sing.
    The LP is imo more of a rhythm guitar, as brutal as that may sound. It has a warmth to it that definitely feels familiar and cuddly and all, but it just has too much "fatness" ot its tone, if that makes any sense. It's like it's trying to sing high notes trough puffy cheeks.
    It's like a boxing match between a slim, professional boxer and a huge bodybuilder. When the bodybuilder hits, he hits like a freight train, but he lacks the nimbleness and athleticism of the boxer, making his fight more boring to watch.
    Both are amazing instruments, but I just can't help but fall in love with the RG.

    • @GuitarSoundLab
      @GuitarSoundLab  Před rokem

      Many thanks for the very detailed comment, I agree with your opinions regarding the two brands.
      They have two distinctive tones due to the pickup and body/neck material and construction.
      The biggest differences between these two guitars are the different wood and the thickness of the neck.
      In any case they are two great guitars, on the base of the personal opinion one is better than another one...I like both, they can be used for different genres
