hello, how long does it take approximately to fully enjoy the musem without being rushed? like is it huge like disney land or universal studios?

Hello! I would say it would take about 4 hours on average? It’s not really big - literally just one big building with several rooms and about 3 floors, if my memory serves right. To enjoy it fully, the 4 hours im thinking of includes watching the short film, eating at the cafe for a break, browsing + Q-ing at the museum shop, taking pictures and thoroughly looking through the details of every room. Just bear in mind that everything is in Japanese. Hope this helps!

just bought my ticket but sadly is for 4pm, but the museum close at 5pm. Do I have enough time?

Honestly, it’s enough for a speed run through the museum for all the gizmos and rooms. You won’t be able to catch the show
maybe a quick 15-min snack at the cafe, if you’d like. Just be wary that the souvenir shop might see long Qs but I reckon they’ll let everyone finish paying at least.

Hello! It's much easier for foreigners to get tickets now , except that they're definitely high in demand. You can get tickets via their website or through joining a Sunrise Tour. Deets here: www.ghibli-museum.jp/en/tickets/

hi! i bought the ticket through my friend who lives in Japan. He wont be coming to the park with me. can i still enter?

hello! it's hard to say cos it depends on your luck. we went in with a ticket bought under another friend's name who wasn't there. the lady at the entrance just asked if one of us was that person and we just said 'yes' and she didn't ask for an ID. I reckon to be safe, just prepare some form of proof that you know your friend? a pic with his ID juuuust in case you get someone super strict!
