hey, cardo-de-comer here! I really appreciate Lorne taking his time to look at my works, means the world to me, literally just crying rn. Abe's Oddysee was one of my childhood games and I'm glad I decided to come back to this universe. I could listen to Lorne talking for hours but I'd never thought it would be about my art.
But as some people said before, I want to add that there is a lot of other awesome artists in this community, writers, content creators in general. They all deserve the recognition too.
i wish there was a oddworld museum every fan art ever made is in there
I'll never get tired of saying it: Lorne is such a great storyteller. The way he threads his words, the tone he uses when he adds a shift on the topic, the pauses themselves... Brilliant!
I was very lucky to have an interview with Lorne Lanning back in July of last year and he likes the idea of me making Twice Ze Flavor. He told us as long as I don't sell the game and make our own models based of the original characters I can make it as a fangame similar to games like Oddworld: Smile Factory.
I would love to speak to Lorne Lanning, this man is a genius.
Every time I see new Oddworld art, it just makes me so proud of the insane creativity of this community. Not only are the devs inspired by the stories they want to create, but they inspire us as the players and the fans to channel our own creative thumbs too. And I absolutely love to see that, fantastic work Cardo. (we always need to see Elum getting more love)

As someone who also followed along with seeing all of Cardo_de_comers artwork, they truly are wonderful arts, especially the coloring is the one that impressed me the most.
Also, if you think these fan artworks is enough to blow you all away then wait, JUST WAIT until the day when i step out of my "cave" and show myself to the public, im gonna show you all something that is going to be THIRD GRADE MINDBLOWING. So much that everyone in your team will tear up, especially Lorne😉 (if not, then i dont know what can)

She really got the talent 😊. I made fanarts of oddworld too. Even created some monsters and their own info. i wish i could see them in the game.

Man imagine an open world Oddworld game done in the quality it deserves. Something more open-ended where you could pick one of the various species to play as and really just immerse yourself in Oddworld. Thats been in my head since I was a kid.
Too bad they abandoned Hand Of Odd for the dumbest reason.
Are we ever going to see a comic book version of oddworld, that would be awsome!?

I was a long time Oddworld fan, now my passion for Oddworld diminished, but I want to add something to the matter:
Cardo's style is impressive, but you should also give space to other artists here, because everyone has different way of expression and we should credit them all.
I recently started to make Oddworld related art thanks to a friend who re-enlighten my passion, with most featuring original characters made by me.
Too bad Oddworld doesn't seem to have interest in original characters, at least back in the days they didn't want to use "fan ideas", hopefully this has changed.
As a fan and artist that has created tons of Oddworld content over the years that has gone completely unrecognized by Oddworld, this video feels like such a slap in the nuts.

Ngl feels a little insulting to praise this relative newcomer (as great as they are) as the "best" while there have been amazing oddworld fanartists out there, like my friend Emily, who've been completely ignored for over a decade now...
Edit: No hate for Cardo. She's lovely and I adore her work. I'm glad she's getting recognition.
Yeah, unfortunately Oddworld loves to cherry pick their favorite fans. Not a smart move for a company with very few fans as it is, but it’s basically the reason I stopped doing Oddworld fan art.
