  • I first tried Warframe back in 2014 on PS4 when the game was still very new. It didn't last long and honestly I figured the game had just slowly died over the years... HOWEVER. The game currently is MASSIVE with over 600k active players per day. So, I had to see why! Should you play Warframe? Come see!!

For people worried about the premium currency shop:
    1. It is 100% optional. Nothing you can buy in the shop is better or worse, it’s either cosmetic or skips the grind to attain it in game.
    2. You can trade premium currency between players for earned items, meaning even if you want cosmetic items or grind skip, you still don’t have to buy it.
    3. Aside from cosmetic items, it’s usually the case that anything you see for sale will have a blueprint version also available that puts it into your crafting list for in-game drops like credits and resources. The rest of the time that blueprint is in the rest of the game somewhere, like the Dojo (clan system) or earned from loot drops.
Warframe’s monetisation is one of the most fair-to-player systems in the world. Aside from those games that are up-front purchase for everything in the game, no in-game shop, no special edition and no paid battle pass.

As for the lack of a clear aim in the early game, the Whispers in the Walls update that's coming in a couple days will make some changes to how the story quests are available to new players; They'll no longer have mastery rank requirements, and they'll be better organised to be more clear about what's a side quest and what's part of the main storyline. That should make it easier to new players who are interested in the "campaign" to experience it more cohesively.

Yeah this update did not help. There isn't any indication of what is a priority story quest and they should have kept the mastery rank requirements, but given new players more weapon and frame slots so that they can actually progress their MR faster and experiment with gear without having to do sidetrack to boring plat grinds.

yea, platinum doesn't really do anything aside from general basic expansion, cosmetics, and grind skip. Even then, its stupid easy to farm as in everyone wants to buy something. It merely works like a pay to have more rather than a pay to be better thing. The mods that come with the plat are easy to obtain as well, and don't really boost you character, rather, its the farmable stuff that takes it to the moon. Its at least better than destiny which requires you to buy everything including access to exclusive equipment and battlepasses with the added price of your soul. Warframe goes with the model of you dont have to pay, but you will eventually.

I’ve spent a LOT of money on this game. Some from being lazy, a lot from cosmetics to support the game/support the community (yes, a percentage of tennogen goes to the creator that made it), and I wouldn’t go back and take any money I’ve spent on it back. The game is so meaningful to me, I did take a long break, but I came back to it a few weeks ago and I put 200+ hours in it again catching up on everything. This game is so great and the devs are great and put a lot of heart into it, so I will probably be spending so much more in the future with some warframe tattoos and what not. I already have a lot of destiny tattoos, and that game is very near and dear to me, so warframe tats will be right at home.

ok where to start, this game is phenomenal. everyone that starts this game starts at the same place which is being overwhelmed by the aspects of the game (i like that part since it doesnt make it well known like most games). i myself am not a full on pro player, currently at mastery rank 20, max is 30 (the max level for pretty much everything is 30, there are exceptions) as for your mastery rank, if you go into the menu and profile you will see the xp bar, there it shows the things you have done to gain the xp for the mastery rank up. long story short pretty much anything you do gets you xp
as for your cons, those can be dwindled down to it only being overwhelming at the start (even up to mastery rank 0 i still had no clue what i was doing half the time). this game IS NOT P2W, let me clarify, yes there is the premium currency called platinum (which you start out with 50) and it can be used for all sorts of things like adding more weapon, and warframe slots to getting many and i mean many cosmetics, yes as you have seen in the currency shop you can get rewards for buying the higher tier platinum those rewards being mods, you can get everything in the game without using platinum (cosmetics aside). but one of the things that makes this game amazing and better than most is that PLATINUM IS EASY TO GET, EVEN AS A FREE TO PLAY PLAYER. thats because platinum, the premium currency in warframe can be traded, you can trade almost anything. and the best way to get customers for the items you sell, or if you want an item you want to buy with platinum (note that you cannot trade the 50 platinum you start with, those are best used to get a weapon/warframe slots) is to use a site called warframe market, this website is easy to use, it isnt associated with the game so its fan made, all it is, is a marketplace for people that advertise wanting to buy or sell items. making alot of platinum is very easy if you use warframe market, you can also trade at the bazaar but using the market is better.
as for your other con of "what to do" well you can do whatever you want, but what you mainly want to do on a regular basis is to unlock all the planets i recommend getting to uranus, the story gets amazing at that point. on a side note you can do so much in the game, from getting your favorite warframes, to getting pets, to unlocking new weapons and so much more. yes the game is overwhelming at first but i assure you if you keep playing then you will understand everything in time. there are even very helpful beginner videos on yt to get you going. just know that the game may be easy now but that will change the further you get.
the game itself is spectacular but what i most love about it is the community, everyone ig or out are always willing to help. hell they even give you free stuff, but if you ever have a question you can ask in game, on reddit or ask me and ill answer if i can. its been a couple months since i last played warframe since i gave myself a break after playing it nonstop. but ill definitely be getting back into it because of the new update released on tennocon.
Good luck on your journey Tenno

Appreciate the insight friend!! Glad to hear about the game not being p2w and platinum being readily accessible. I really didn't assume it was just that shop style is so mobile game like that I had to be a little worried. Crazy how positive the community seems in this game there's so much support from the player base. Honestly many of the "cons" were things I could imagine many others struggling with even if I myself might not. I do like the open-endedness of the game because linear play can be super dull. Thanks again 😎

Drop tables and riven rolling makes me question reality sometimes, but in general if there’s an item you can see in the shop you can get it, you just might not have unlocked the area in which you get it (like the zariman or khal’s garrison) and there are dojo specific weapons, free roam specific weapons and more, all of which do look like they’re paid at the beginning but I can reassure you they’re not.

It’s always interesting for some reason to hear about the experiences of new players when you have played so long that you have almost forgotten what that was like. The thing that many, many people bring up in their first tens of hours playing is being overwhelmed. It’s does get easier, and by that I mean you learn HOW to figure out stuff that you just don’t understand. As with a lot of games, or at least any one of sufficient complexity, there is a visual and conceptual language, a way of doing things, that until you start to crack it, seems like nothing makes sense. For example, one of the particular examples you gave of a symbol on the star chart was a special type of mission on that node in parallel to the normal mission. Some of these types last only for a particular amount of time, and move around at random on the star chart. If you had simply clicked on it you would have found out that instead of starting a mission you would be given a choice whether to start the regular mission or the special one, and if you simply select the latter you would learn a lot about the new mission and systems associated with it by just jumping in. It would also put names to things allowing you to ask more questions. If warframe has a problem in this area it is that it errs always on the side of introducing things organically rather than through heavy handed tutorials. I look at this as a feature rather than a bug - the early part figuring things out, and especially figuring out HOW to figure mysteries like that out in this particular game - is for me part of the fun. But everyone has a different tolerance for that kind of thing. I know I’m definitely the kind of person, my whole life, that thinks getting dropped in a foreign country with a language I don’t know yet, with different customs, food, etc etc is about the most amazing thing ever! Many of my friends and relatives over the years find the same thing scary to the point of panic and want to make for the nearest international holiday inn. 😂

As someone with a few hours (1800) I love seeing new players taking a look at this game. And all of you concerns I heard are completely valid. The game can be extremely overwhelming and that is something they need to fix. But I especially love your reaction to the premium currency and I feel ya. But please do keep in mind. Everything you can buy (excluding alot of the cosmetics) you can get normaly by just playing the game. And if its something you really want but need platinum for it you can just trade for the platinum which I feel sets warframe far above most live service free to play games. I hope you keep playing this game because something I tell all my friends is the more time you put into this game is the more fun it gets. Goodluck

I just started Warframe myself. As a "Baby Tenno," I've struggled with the feature creep as well, getting very overwhelmed with how much there is in the game. Luckily, I've had a co-worker, that has played it since it came out, showing me the ropes. Which has really helped a lot. There are also a lot of really good guide videos and playlists that help walk you through everything you need to know.
I am currently MR 6 as of this comment. As I've started to transition out of the early game (almost finished the star chart), I'd say some of the best advice I can give completely new players is to take it slow, use the wiki, and watch beginner guide videos.
Warframe has been out for a long time. The con of that for new players is information and feature overload in-game. The pro, however, is that there is soo much information collected on the ins and outs of the game. You can get quick and easy superficial information if you're a more casual player, but there is also very precise information that has been collected and compiled if you're into the more stat crunching side of Looter Shooters.

I appreciate your view as a new player. As some people have stated about the Platinum and relation to weapons and warframes, DE has made great lengths to make sure this game isn't pay to win. Any and every warframe, weapon, and mods can be grinded for in some form or fashion. Some are easier than others I will say. This game doesn't really like to hold your hand in terms of story progression and mechanics but I can't think of a good way to implement a system that could help without feeling like you're permanently on rails or making you as the player feel like the system is stating you aren't smart enough to figure out and explore. There is a semi lore reason to it as well but that comes with its own issues that makes this a tricky fix.

  • @malaki7335
    @malaki7335 Před 7 měsíci +1

Warframe is absolutely a looter, its just that the loot isnt earned in quite the same way as something like Destiny. Instead of getting random wepaon drops from enemies, you choose what you want to build by getting the blueprint for it, and then using resources earned from missions to craft those blueprints. Any item that has any impact on gameplay can be earned for free. The UI certainty needs an update to make it more obvious though. If you click on any of those weapons in the aresenal with the platinum cost, it will give you two options. Use plat to buy it outright, or get the blueprint for credits and build it. Everything like that in the shop has a free path to earn it. And the premium currency can even be earned for free by trading with other players.
Being overwhelmed at the start is something we all went though. And it can be frustrating. But as someone with over 2,000 hours in the game, every warfame, almost every weapon, after experincing dozens of hours of excellent AAA quality story content, unique and exciting gameplay unlike any game on the market, and doing all of that for $0, I can definately say it is worth it to stick with it!
You should stream the game. That way, the community can help with the overwhelming/confusion part. The Warframe community is known as being one of the most friendly in all of gaming after all

The premium currency that is implemented in this game might be the most fair system a F2P "mmo" game created at this scale. Premium currency can be traded between players which means that currency is available for F2P players by traded Mods and other things obtained through play (lots of good trade items can be farmed very early into playing). Everything that has a power value attached can be obtained in game. No power gated by $$. The only thing gated by money is pure cosmetics.

Good video! I'd like to touch on the point of the mods in the premium currency pack you were worried about, @Thaylien here in the comments put it very well but I just wanted to say those specific upgrades you see in the pack are fairly common drops from in game missions and enemies.
The seeking fury mod for example is just some random mod they threw in there because why not I suppose lol, that mod is very common and more than likely if you just play normally you'll get dozens of them.
This game is by far the most fair monetization model I've seen in a game, I hate microtransactions in games and I'm happy to say I've been playing warframe for nearly a decade now and never have I felt I needed to spend any cash on it
And the best part is I'm no weaker than someone who has spent some, I've got some of the most powerful setups you can possibly obtain just from playing and trading goodies between other players
So don't worry about monetization it's a total non issue with the way they handled it
Also I'd like to add the UI is still very clunky just because of how much stuff there is at this point, if you see something you like (other than tennogen cosmetics that players made and get paid through purchases which I think is awesome) just check by clicking is it has a blueprint and if not the wiki is always helpful to have, everything is obtainable in game mostly without some ridiculous grind like some games so no worries there

The overwhelming and confusing is fair and understandable. I honestly agree. It did not age well. Although, I don't remember how but I didn't have a hard time starting personally. And I mostly figured out things myself.
The paying thing can be cleared up though. It's mostly pay for convenience. I think the UI is a little bit misleading putting the plats on the front page of the weapons and frames. But 99% of people actually just buy the blueprints without spending real money and just craft it themselves. Because yes, you can get all these weapons by crafting them. Crafting weapons and frames is the main loop. The platinum option is for those who are willing to spend to skip a grind.
And honestly, I highly discourage new players to buy weapons or frames with plat. Just don't. It's counter-intuitive in a way. If you play the game like as it is, you can get XP, resources, and mods you'd otherwise miss if you just used platinum to skip it. And as you might or might not know, mods become the backbone of the gameplay as you progress. It's how you unlock the real strength of a frame or weapon.
And also, some of the strongest weapons in the game are ones you can't buy with money (you can only get them by playing, fighting your personalized nemesis, and stealing their weapon). The fact that these strong but unbuyable weapons exist I think is decent proof to me that the developers' aim isn't to extort money. They still have to earn money of course, but it generally feels fair to me.
And IMO a huge plus about the platinum (premium currency) in Warframe is that it's tradeable amongst players. There's a significant chunk of players who grind for rare items and trade those with other players. It's basically an incentive to stay strictly F2P because you can technically get platinum that other players paid for with real money. So in the player-base, there's a balance of people who are willing to *spend* money to skip a grind, and people who are willing to *play* more and grind to get that money (in the form of platinum). Yep. Warframe's in-game player economy is a thing.

Warframe is definitely the most fair F2P game I have ever played. The cash shop is just pay to progress faster or pay for cosmetics and you can trade with other people for the premium currency, so you don't need to spend a cent. The "battle pass" is completely free and has no paid option, you can't even pay for it if you wanted to and often offers rewards that benefit you greatly like weapon slots and warframe slots.
The only things that you cannot obtain in the game outside of cosmetics is the founders exclusive Excalibur Prime warframe and its weapons, the Lato Prime and the Skana Prime. I think that is fair, since the founders bought the game at launch based completely on trust in the developer's vision and what a vision it has become! Everything else in the game is fully obtainable.
Every warfarme is like a new class in any other game, plays completely differently from one another and there are over 50+ warframes now with the developers adding at least 3 to 4 every year. I get blown away by the sheer number of new things that are introduced every time I return to the game after taking a break.
The one thing that I can say that is even remotely negative is just how completely overwhelming it can be for new players and the new player experience is not really that great. There are multiple systems upon systems that can overload a new person who is playing without someone guiding them. Granted, part of this is due to the game's age and a whole decade worth of development, but the way the game introduces these systems to new players could really be improved upon.

DE has a intro system in place to introduce you to different content in a linear fashion, so eventually you will learn what everything means. if you don't know right now you will later kind of thing, they don't put you in the dark on things its more that they don't want to bombard you with everything at once. The star chart can be confusing for new players as it was for me when I started, best thing I can say, is to just do what you want to do, the game will help you out it some way if you don't know.

    9:42 On the shop.
    1. Everything that you can buy in the shop, you can obtain in the game with a bit of grinding
    2. The *mods* you were talking about in the premium shop are, actually, *completely useless* at least if you've been playing a while. That's an issue some veteran players have with the premium shop because it shows you "hey look at these cool mods" and you don't know that you can actually earn those mods through gameplay later on, and even when you earn them you still need to rank them up.
    3. (unrelated to the shop but related to the next point you brought up). Yes, there are certain missions you can completely run through without fighting anyone, but, some missions actually require you to kill a certain number of enemies or *a certain enemy* (who will be highlighted). So, no, you don't need to kill everyone, at least at first. Your player-character power scaling in Warframe is fairly high, but enemies also do scale. By the mid game you'll feel like you can cruise through most encounters without much trouble...and then you start running into things like Sorties, where the enemies tend to have a higher level-spike. Then you get into things like Arbitrations and Elite Sanctuary Onslaught, where if you don't have a powerful build you can just die...nearly instantly...but you can also conquer these. Then at the end of the starchart you unlock the Steel Path, which is the starchart again but with the difficulty slider maxed out. There are some ways to cheese these missions, but they're not all created equal, and most of them do require a lot of knowlege of movement. That's the games real difficulty curve, maxing out your mobility.

@@Vizzient In fact, once you get to Cetus, you have access to a frame (gara), that you can build to have a passive kill aura that is larger then most melee weapons can reach. Not only is it a kill aura it also lowers the damage you take by a whole 90%, so while you have it on it is like you have 10x hp plus, the longer you have it going the stronger it hits, and you can keep the aura up 100% of the time. (so if you don't want to farm up for the fancy weapons, know you have an option to play a early game frame that by just existing, will out damage even the best weapons without pressing the shoot or melee button once)
From Cetus in an early quest, you also can a frame (Revenant) that can turn energy into charges that not only block a certain amount of hits, but reflect the damage and status effect back, and you also can keep this ability up without end. Meaning, as long as you recast the ability before all the charges are up you not only can not take a fatal blow, you can't even loss a single point of hp. Later in game you get the ability to give yourself a passive 5 energy/s and if you mix the two you don't even need to have the enemies drop energy orbs to keep the charges up non-stop. Also, did I say, the fastest you can lose charges is one a second, as each time you lose a charge you become invulnerable for a whole second. So, as soon as you can get 10 charges - 7 (if you decrease the cost of abilities). Nothing can kill your frame. With more charges giving you time if you mess up the timing.
Most single player games don't even come with god-mode/kill aura cheats, and warframe gives both to f2p players. Even if they wanted to not much they could offer that will be p2w.

Warframe progression is actually structured very well. Starting missions aren't meant to be a challenging experience, but a teaching experience. Get in, shoot stuff, see how a specific mission plays, do the thing, get out. Later on, at around level 30-35, modding starts playing a bigger role, as enemies become tankier and tankier; level cap, a difficulty that only a few endgame players dare and have time to reach, sits at enemy level of 9999. After completing the starchart, a player is suppposed to hold themselves comfortably at enemy levels of 50-100, that's the teritory of liches. Next setting is Steel Path, which is basically the same starchart you just completed, but with way tankier enemies, with more damage reduction and more health, but also double the drops. Beyond that, there's only level cap to strive for, again if you have enough time to spend in some endless mission until enemy level increases to the max.
As for the cash shop, well yeah, the free game is bound to have one, and you can buy guns and frames, but purchase alone will not give you a cutting edge; you have to understand how a piece of gear plays, what are its strengths and weakneses, it has to be modded well, and all that comes with experience and grind for endo, a resource that is used to make mods stronger. Small tip: less mods with higher ranks is way better than more mods with no ranks. Another thing about premium currency: it's tradable between players. That's how many free2players are getting by; go farm something sellable, it takes a bit of time, but there will always be someone who can't or don't want to grind for it.

The main story of warframe is in its quests. The main goal is to unlock planets and new nodes to unlock the quests to continue on with the warframe main story line. While doing that, players will unlock new equipment, warframes, pets etc. The fastest way to learn all these stuff is by joining a clan. Most of the clans are beginner friendly so they will help out new players as much as possible with all the questions. MR or mastery rank is basically ur account level. The more equipment or warframes you level up the higher your mastery rank gets. The in-game currency (platinum) is by no means necessary to buy. You can trade with other players to get platinum. When i started out a random guy traded me mesa prime set just for one ammo mod XD. Have fun

Warframe is really so extensive that I've been playing for about a year and a half (started July 2022) and I'm MR27 and i still feel like a noob, it doesn't help that for the longest time i had to play completely solo bc i was on switch and everyone i knew was on PC and i was scared to join a clan and have to deal with toxic people (Turns out the warframe community is very lovely though and my clanmates turned out to be super nice!)
Also, I'm not going to repeat anything anyone's already said (about the premium currency, monetization, obtaining items, etc) but i didn't see any comments explaining this, So: mastery rank tests are available once you have enough Mastery Points, which are earned from ranking up your warframes, weapons, companions, and vehicles, the max rank for most things is 30, and each rank is worth 100 mastery points for weapons, and 200 for everything else, Some weapons (as well as the necramechs) can go up to rank 40, but you have to use forma to unlock this (each forma unlocks 2 ranks, so you need 5 forma in total to max out these items, which is kind of annoying) additionally, defeating a specter enemy for the first time in a Junction node will reward you with 1000 mastery points, and each intrinsic you earn with your railjack/in duviri gives you 1500 mastery points, aditionally, clearing the mission objective for any node for the first time will also give you mastery points but they're much less than ranking up your items (unsure on the specific amounts for this one)
Warframe also has nightwave, which is just a typical reward tier system for performing weekly and daily tasks in the games, it's very helpful to new players since it tends to give free weapon slots, warframe slots, and forma and they recently reviewed the tasks to make completing them more accessible
All in all, i didn't struggle that much with the game feeling aimless at the start, i think it's bc i'm used to, well, an Older videogame design model, when you would have to REALLY have to figure out completely by yourself where to go next or just blindly stumble into plot while exploring (Final Fantasy 1 my beloathed)

As someone with almost 800 hours into this game but is constantly trying(and succeeding) at getting new players into it, there's a lot of stuff i see that i really dislike about warframes first impressions on people due to poor UI.
I think the biggest thing that I've always despised is them putting the premium currency prices first on the weapon/warframe/companion ui when u go to equip stuff. A first time player seeing platinum being the first pricing when they go to look at the gear they can equip, instead of the normal currency for the blueprint and THEN you can click on the item to see the premium price if you wanna skip the grind for it hurts a first timers view of the game so hard that I've seen many many people instantly drop it upon seeing that. The worst thing you can do in a f2p game from a new player standpoint is show them a wall of "spend money on this".
Not to mention like in your situation when you went into the shop to view the premium currency packages, you would natrually assume the mods in the highest pack are some exlusive bonus making the game more p2w because the UI didnt state that those mods are freely farmable in game.
There's so many things in warframr that can be referred to as "kill screens" early on that would make a large majority of new people leave either because it gives a wrong impression of being greedy/scummy or so overwhelming that they don't want to interact with the systems.

You don't HAVE to touch this. You don't even have to KNOW it exists. You can just trade the currency with other players. You can get this currency from trading with other players OR by even dismantling some high-tier items, if I remember correctly.
Another thing, it's also completely optional since all the items for platinum are either able to purchase for the regular currency as a blueprint, or even just skip it completely as it's cosmetic AT BEST.
You really don't need to TOUCH the platinum store at all.

i know you are being told this in the comments but i just have to say it as well.
all warframes and weapons can cost plat but when you click "purchase" it takes you to a screen that gives you the option to buy the weapon blueprint for free with creditw

9:00 Warframe has the BEST ingame Shop out there. I have over 800h in Warframe and I only spent 70€ (very recently but for purly cosmetik stuff) u can earn the Platinum from other Players Via traded. It is super fun to Trade with other Players and Build Your own trading Empire. I got around 1.000 - 2.000€ from other Players just from Trading. Super fun and F2P friendly. U can get super OP without spending 1$.

As someone who loves warframe for its gameplay and story, I have never purchased any gameplay items from the in-game market. I have however spent money given how many hours I have in the game, so it is only fair that I pay. And even then I can say that almost 90% of my premium currency that I have is from selling stuff to other players when I have duplicate from my farmings. The trading scene is very active especially when a new update drops because everyone is trying to complete their set.
The only time I would spend my premium currency is when I buy stuff from other players because my RNG for that part of a set eluded me for so long or when I want a particular cosmetic in the shop. I think the community as a whole kinda hates it when cosmetics are only obtainable if they are bundled together with gameplay items, because when a new update comes out, everyone wants to experience the grind on the new gamemode/boss fight/mechanics for the drop. And almost everyone wants to buy the new cosmetics. So you can see the conflict there. DE has been great in making sure that in there's a cosmetic bundle for the collectors but wants the grind and a complete bundle if they feels that the grind is a bit too much and want to skip that part.

To anyone who is interested in trying out Warframe, the number one thing I would say is to be patient, have fun, and just try to learn how the game functions, just like he was doing in the video. I have played roughly 1500 hours and there are still tons of things about the game I don't completely understand simply because of the depth. There is no other game I've ever played that has the depth of Warframe. This game absolutely gets better and better the more you play it. As you play and progress, you are constantly achieving new levels of power and access to harder content that makes it worth all the time you put in to get to that point. Where most games have an early game and an end game, Warframe is just an ever evolving process of progression that just gets more and more satisfying the more you play. Truly the best designed game out there in my opinion with hands down the best gaming community I've ever experienced.

The real money currency is just for cosmetics or to skip a grind, it doesn't affect your in game power level.. and you can easily trade it from other players without spending any real money. Nowadays people use it maybe just to donate to the developers.. cause tbh they deserve it :D

Warframe is 100% f2p friendly. You can actually easily earn platinum through trading with other players in Locations like Maroo's Bazaar. Yes it does throw a ton at you very quickly. I had a similar experience when I first played, however, when I returned years later I found myself playing this game constantly and grinded out to Mastery Rank 27. Its certainly worthwhile as a game you can quite honestly drop away from for months at a time then die right back into it where you were and feel just as sucked in as the first time you started it. On the plus side there isn't any crazy downside to not playing for a while either. Just jump right in wherever you were and get back into the fun grind of it! 1000% recommended.

this game is 100 percent free ever gameplay item and content is free but grindy but the combat is so fun you want to and also if you are
new when you build stuff it does take time like 3 days but it’s worth the wait

you’re not at fault for not knowing this since you’re new to the game but you will get most of your platinum from trading with other players. i’ve had the game for 5 years played it off and on and never once bought plat. i’m waiting for a 75% discount (you give them as a daily reward sometimes) but at that point it’s more to just support the devs

  • @Thatboi-lt2tb

Plat is only really used for cosmetics and speeding thing up such as crafting or farming.

Warframe is fun when u started but it gets boring when you got everything like (you can run steel path with ease, you have the best gears and basically no need to farm other gears unless you got nothing to do, you just farm platinum/items that can be sold in platinum everyday) it gets repetitive also lost the thrill because you just destroy everything at that point and there is no competition

Warframe is a great game for combat and lore/story lovers. Been playing for a year and while it's overwhelming at first, it seems less overwhelming than Path of Exile or BDO. The monetization in Warframe is my golden standard for F2Ps. No gacha bs. Free battle pass. Premium currency is tradable.
Also, the dev communications is topnotch. The community in general is friendly and chill.
This is one of the few games where spending doesn't make me feel guilty. One of the few games where I spent just to support the developers cause I feel that I'm getting more than I give. 😅

Never spend Platinum on weapons or warframes, they are meant for cosmetics (from market) or hard to find items or vaulted prime items (through trade).
Mastery is increased primarily by leveling weapons and warframes to level 30/40 (vaulted prime items are also required) getting to the current max rank (33) means you have to get every weapon, warframe, etc to max rank plus some extra stuff like planet nodes and intrinsics
