Enjoyed the first episode, thought Odenkirk played Hank well and in some scenes reminded me of Saul Goodman
I agree with you that this series will take a bit of time to develop. I'm a huge Odenkirk fan but I wasn't completely sold. But I trust Odenkirk's skill as both a dramatic and comedic actor and there's plenty here to make a solid and enjoyable series. Thanks for the breakdown!

Great review of the episode and terrific analysis of the characters and plot. I love Odenkirk's work and think he's a comedic genius. Lucky Hank is a different role for him and he seems to be able to play it well too. Thanks

I’m loving this series so far 3 episodes in
Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, AL, one block west of Legion Field, is about to close because of a lack of funding and/or support from the city, county and state. Governor Kay Ivey is doing a Nino Brown, basically saying "see ya...and I would wanna be ya". A city councilman asked on tv "if they close, what are we going to do with 197 acres?".
Honestly, I enjoyed the episode. I’ll have a lot of patience, too, considering it’s Bob Odenkirk as the lead.
Totally - I feel he's always careful with his selection of shows. So hopefully it will just continue to get better!

Glad Oscar became a Dean at a community college instead of staying in Accounting
Surprised by how much I disliked it. Characters are unlikeable and too much dialogue was given to characters who aren’t interesting. Still not sure what’s really happening or why I should care. Highlight was Oscar from the Office and the one guy bragging about multiple women saying he was good at fornicating. Also ZERO chemistry between Bob and his wife’s character.
Acting and writing is good, but I need something interesting to happen soon to remain interested. I thought Vince Gilligan was behind this but looks like that is not the case. Not a great sign but I will give it a few more episodes before I give up on it.
You never explain any ending, you only do a summary of the episodes and maybe a little background. Deceiving title!

Based on the trailer, this show really isn’t interesting. This looks like a slow burn, but not enjoyable to watch while it’s slowly churning.
That's fair! Odenkirk does usually pick well so i'm hoping he's done exactly that with this one!

Trailers can be misleading. Remember how everyone though The Force Awakens was going to be a masterpiece based off of the trailer?
@@Inebriated_Goat I don’t know that show but watching everyone’s review of the first episode, including this one, everyone seems bored af. I’m gonna wait for the series to finish and binge all at once if there comes a good episode.

The most ridiculous, confusing dribble. I LOVED Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, but I won’t be watching this one. What a disappointment.
I'm hoping it will improve as the episodes go on!
