I understand the feeling completely.
To be able to appreciate a song so passionately even without actually understanding the language used. It simply means that music is truly a universal language that crosses all barriers.
I've been listening continuously to five THAI songs at the moment. And I don't even understand the language (being a Filipino myself). But the lyrics AND the melody, first and foremost, got me hooked big time. And last but certainly not the least, having a God-gifted talent to sing such unfamiliar song would truly make you hooked.

Maybe you don't understand the song by mind but by heart. That is the language of heart.
I don't know why Wish doesn't advertise it, but theere are subtitles on that performance. When Shay made me aware of that i went and revisited the song, and boy did it make me tear up. To me it at least doubled the amount of beauty i got when listening without understanding. I agree.. This performance, of this very beautiful song, is now one of the benchmarks. One of the videos i show to people who don't know who she is.
