“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel. - Hudba

Thanks for reacting to Filipino singers. Morissette is one of the most complete performer in the Philippines. She can sing almost any genre of music, she can dance, rap, play guitar and piano.
Why the crowd is dead:
- few are familiar with this type of music. Especially since this is an old Mariah Carey song, and not many are fluent in English. Or even listen to western music unless it’s kpop.
- besides Ailee, Hyolin and another I don’t remember the name of, you seldom hear high notes that’s even close to this. S. Korea is mainly kpop, and rap. Few kpop artists/groups can’t even sing live, or at a decent level even.
- basically a culture shook.
- Morissette or any South East Asian woman for that matter isn’t exactly up to what their beauty standards is concerned. But mainly it’s due to the language barrier, and the style of music.
- if Japan it may have gotten a better response since they are a melting pot of different ethnicities, are are way more experimental in their music.
yet most vocal coaches use her as reference for teaching their students even in korea some use her as reference its just sad that even tho we have different cultures it wouldnt hurt to at least support her even if its just a little
I don't know if that's entirely true. SoHyang is from South Korea as well as Park Ki Young. Both of them hit stratospheric notes and get good reactions. I think this crowd just wasn't into Morisette specifically lol

@@razrv3lc Morissette was actually #1 in VLIVE in views and discussion, therefore the act that stood out the most. She also got the Asias Phoenix title with that performance. Furthermore she was and still is the only artist to ever be invited twice in ASF.

@@razrv3lc I am a korean and that is correct. Not because of the reason that upper guy wrote like beauty standard(?) or that those types are not mainstream. That is Bullshit. In actual in korea, ballads are the most powerfully supported by audiences. Of course kpops are too but ballads are daily consumed. That is why they have less fans than kpops but sometimes stronger than kpops. And We don't or do react because of appearance. She's not that famous to many people in korea. And moreover people there wouldn't gone there to see her. So there could be few reactions.

When she audition to "the voice ph" her voice was good and its still fine its normal. But in this year we didn't expect that her voice is more powerful than other singers

Morisette's pipes NEVER DISAPPOINT 🙏🙏💕
Morissete simply has everything. Looks, personality, voice, musicality, emotive ability, stage performance, youth and work ethic. It's like making your own singer in a video game or something, and throwing all the sliders to the max at character creation. Keep reacting to her, you have a lot more to cover (and be surprised by) XD
Also coach, another suggestion for your future endeavors. I'd be interested to see your reaction analysis on a cover Sohyang did back in the "I am Singer 2" competition. The song she covered was the incredible "FATE" by Koreas' National Diva, ballad singer Lee Sun-hee. She wrote and performed this song 15 years ago to honor her late husband, and it is in itself an incredible, powerful experience, meshing the ballad genre with traditional asian music and instruments. The song was later adapted for the soundtrack of the Korean block-buster period movie "King & The Clown".
Sohyang together with her composer had to re-arrange the original song (a requirement really for these contests, you cannot go karaoke on them), and she really delivered a absolutely devastating version, that both did justice to the original and won her the round she was competing at with a pretty large margin. I'd be interested to see you comment on the way she changed her mix and vowel placement on this one.
