This lady was like upwards of 40 too, she was so excited for it and bussing to show her daughter. it was hella wholesome and in that moment I realized how poppin BTS is. And I live in small town Missouri for scale

You'd be surprised at how organised kpop fans are...When their group has a comeback they put the song on repeat on and on so they pump up the views and break records. Usually before the group's comeback the fan pages upload a list of goals, like, the first day we need to work to get X amount of views on the video, by day two we need to get the views up to X, and so on. It's wild, the commitment and dedication these people (not only kids) put into it.

As a tmg and bts fan I feel like a reason people are crazy abt bts' songs is their personalities. Same thing w tmg songs. Bts has been able to genuinely their personality to their fans the same way tmg has and people love them. Spotify isn't used universally: the BTS market - is not exclusive in America as they still are a K-pop band= Korean pop music. For example one of the biggest markets are the center in Japan.

I wholeheartedly agree that it isn’t their best song, but it’s not really supposed to be. Dynamite is a single they released for fans during everything going on in 2020. This is also their first track that is getting proper radio time in America, which is something they haven’t been able to do because of a clear bias against Korean music in the American industry.
There is nothing wrong with anything you guys said, and I’m hopeful you won’t have to deal with any negative feedback, but I can say with absolute confidence that the fan base is more than just teenagers. I wish that was acknowledged more, but I respect and understand why it’s seen that way.

As someone who doesn't stan BTS I completely agree with you. I mean I personally didn't like the song, but it wasn't a bad song. Plus their intention behind it was super sweet I feel. I'm really glad to see some nice and reasonable fans of BTS~ (cuz some of them are just really crazy, toxic and terrifying tbh, makes me feel sorry for the boys also)

Halies I also agree that it’s a fine song, but you also have to consider opinions. Some people may dislike pop music, so Dynamite might not be for them. There are some songs of theirs that I don’t particularly like, but it doesn’t change how much I love and adore all of their other songs that don’t go on that list for me.
Marium Khalid I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with obnoxious people in this fandom, I hope you have better experiences with us in the future. I’ve met some wonderful people in this fandom, and these are the ones that I hope bts see more. We have a lot to offer, but sometimes it can be overshadowed by people who like to give us a bad rep.

I had an occular migraine a few months ago. A semi transparent SQUARE just appearing at the center of my vision, and kept getting bigger. Freaked out, didn’t know what was happening, went to the nurse’s office (at my school) because I thought the quinoa I ate had contaminants that gave me neurological posoning. Nurse said it was an occular migraine, I was like bitch what my head doesn’t hurt, to which she said “it will later”. Came home and I was sucker punched by the most anus widening migraine I have ever had. It was like getting punched by a giant for 4 hours straight. I had lotsa spiritual awakenings and insights about myself as I layed there writhing about.

As a bts and tmg fan, bts have a range of styles and genres, dynamite itself is just a pop song but sometimes that's what you need. The message behind their song was really sweet. 90% of their songs have thoughtful messages behind them but sometimes all we need is a chill song which you dont have to think about that much, especially during these times (they wanted to release a fun song to make people a little happy) And I think the reason we were able to gain 101million views within 24 hours for dynamite was because usually youtube deletes millions of views from other music videos of bts within 24 hours (but this time they didnt delete as much) and secondly the fandom grows each comeback. Plus spotify does not operate in every country, especially not in korea which is where they are from, and they have other markets and streaming apps from those markets they use, such as melon in korea or maybe some in japan too! Hope that information helped! I think you guys would be very surprised if you listened to more of bts' discography and would hopefully understand why they appeal to so many people (who range in age and gender orientation). They've worked incredibly hard to get where they are and I hate to see them constantly get discredited. love you guys:))

And to go with Cody's point of people recycling jokes, I feel like a lot of viewers find the most attractive tiktokkers, those tiktokkers recycle popular trends and jokes, viewers think they're attractive AND hilarious and it just becomes a cycle from there. Of course the vine days had fuckboys and all but a lot of viewers still looked for the different spins on popular trends that their favourite viners came up with.

mynameisjo exactly. If it’s not your taste it’s not your taste, just trying to make clear that bts isn’t just the songs of them that you encounter in mainstream media. The way they get portrayed by western media is so far from what they actually are. I wouldn’t even consider bts kpop, there are so many tracks that cover a bunch of different genres, songs that are very deep and actually have a whole story to tell and that don’t match that general kpop sound. That’s what really irks me, that bts constantly gets compared to the typical kpop group when they just aren’t. They produce and write their own songs and are genuine artists that have a lot of passion for music and a story to tell.
@@brave.9560 yep and they really emphasize self-love, self-acceptance, and a lot of other sub-concepts like psychologist carl jung's archetypes (persona, ego, shadow) that i feel like i never wouldve thought about on my own and really makes me want to analyze and investigate myself. not only that, but theyre great role models, kind and smart people, and its understandable that millions of fans look up to them as their idols.
