Lets just say they heavily influenced my open mindedness and my ears back then. Remember sneaking into the music building to play on the baby grand piano around midnight a lot of times, creating my own music.. I hope we all recognize what a treasure these guys are.
Yes I used to listen to this just for the beauty of it. But one time when I was fasting for a month I was on my way to phoenix and this song was playing and the Spirit hit me so hard i was just in tears and didnt know why and I kept playing this song over and over and for an hour i was in total tears of joy thinking about His grace. This was the first time after being a christian for a long time that I was overwhelmed with the Spirit like that and I didnt even know why or what was happening.My life has changed forever since then I know that God is with me and that He is very real and I can reach out to Him at anytime and He really does let me know He is there.

Because I worship the black dots on the page, the sounds that come from the lungs of these 6 fine gentlemen, the feeling in my head and stomach when music like this hits my ears. I was a senior in High School when this album came out. This song is my favorite. It makes my soul shine inside. I got to perform on the same stage as these awesome vocalists/musicians at the 1989 National Association of Jazz Educators Convention in San Diego as a freshman in College with Soundsation from Edmonds Community College. What a blessing, what an honor. God bless

I love choir singing despite not being religious at all. Take 6 is genius. Singers Unlimited, Moon Safari (swedish band, not the french one) are all great 5+ layered vocal arrangements too.
