We praise zoos that are proactive about animal welfare and environmental enrichment,
and strongly criticize those that are passive about animal welfare and environmental enrichment,
and demand that animal welfare be implemented.
*Environmental enrichment is a measure to reduce
their mental and physical stress and have them live a happy life from the standpoint of an ape,
not from a human convenience or emotion.
Among them,
foraging enrichment (installing puzzle feeders and increasing the number of meals so that apes can lead a rich life) can be done at low cost.

She has a pretty face and her ears are still intact ,but for how long I wonder?
I never mean to be negative Nancy and hopefully it will all work out, but today, I do not see how the twins (who basically control baby sister) will EVER accept another female into the group without seriously injuring the new comer. Why can’t Riki and her have a separate living quarters, and start a family of their own?
@@EmmaDee Some animals just shouldn't be forced to be with others when they can be so violent it's bad management.

守るべき子供がいることも影響しているのではないかと思います。
They had to separate Riki at one point from the girls because of his rowdiness and futuristically speaking when they become of age to get pregnant, wouldn’t it be best to keep apart then? He needed his OWN female and chance to have a family.
Marimo is probably stressed.

Miriimo isn't intimidated one bit by the females hope they will get along i just hate when they take siblings and split them up for no good reason.
It seems to me (I can be wrong) that the girls' intimidation displays are getting less and less serious, but I can imagine they all are very frustrated because of the separation from their family members. I hope it won't take long to let them be together again. Thank you for the video!

I notice Marimo doing the same head twirl that Chico and Cherry do now. I wonder if that is a sign of stress from being placed in a different environment?
I think it is.
I would be very intimidated if 3 children and 1 adult female were sizing me up like that. I hope Riki and Ryu make it a prority to protect her.
