I come from a family of hairdressers, my mum was trained in London by Robert Fielding ( before our time ) .. she trained me and my sister , we had our own salon for 30 years…….. WHY WHY WHY do we spend years of training just to watch someone hack at their hair with CRAFT scissors , it hurst my eyes to watch such things ,,,, but I HAVE to watch ( through my fingers ) ….. your expressions crack me up I feel your pain!!! I have to watch you every day to put a smile upon my face….. don’t quit making these videos .. please 🙏🏼

@@pepsicheng7758 My hairdresser was supposed to trim my hair and make it even obviously. She said she did so yet one side was shorter than the other by like 2-3 inches. I had to fix it at home and ended up with my hair way shorter than it was originally meant to be (I am left handed and my left side is always growing faster than the right one). She made my longer side shorter than the one that is always shorter 😂. It's been two weeks and i got over it now I guess but i was crying so badly after i realized how uneven it is.
I mean, that is me every step of my adulthood, but I somehow managed to stave off the urge to cut my hair up to this point. Mainly because I know I'd not be able to manage the fallout of that decision.

To be honest I have been cutting my hair since I was 15 because of a very BAD experience with a hair dresser but the advantage I have is that my hair is curly so I get away with a lot 🤣 I love your content!!!

I call BS. Even here in California you can get a haircut for way less. If you see a stylist in Beverly Hills that’s a different story.
She’s from NZ so yeah she BS. Hair cuts are 120 at most and include wash, cut, blow dry and style. It’s usually $300+ for colour

Talking straight from my heart, out of my own experience: DON'T TOUCH YOUR HAIR. LEAVE THEM ALONE. YOU WILL 100% REGRET IT. If you want to change something dramatically go get stiletto nails extensions. Massive change, everyone will be impressed and you can remove them anytime 👌🙌
Sometimes you need a change in 2020 during the pandemic I dyed my waist length light brown hair orange, 🧡 I liked it, it was fun, no harm done, change is good we shouldn't be afraid..
Or buy a wig. And see how it grows on you, before touching your real hair.
Except for bangs. I know how to do that for 10 years. Bangs are actually something which can be learned. Just never start too way up. I am always cutting the height my eyes are

@@katerin-no-kulikova 🤣 getting buzz cut is cool and uplifting feeling. Growing out buzz cut is one of hell's dimension. It takes at least 2-3 years, you will loose patience few times on the way and do something destructive to your hair that will reset the process. Free fortune telling 🔮✨

The reason the scissors are working better than most of these types of videos is because fabric scissors, when owned by people who actually treat them properly, are gonna be sharper than regular kitchen scissors. If you're only using them for fabric they don't dull as quickly as kitchen scissors and make cleaner cuts on fabric, and so, hair too apparently.

That was difficult to watch, I cut my own hair at home and have done for every cut for years now, I've got the proper equipment and know the rules per say to getting decent results, there's also countless tutorials that are easy to follow, it doesn't have to be like this girl 😅😢
So I shaved my head because two hairstylists told me "I shouldn't go any shorter" the latter one going so far as to tell me I wouldn't look feminine enough...I was so fine with my shaved head I posted it all over fb and everyone either complimented me or said nothing and I wouldn't have cared if they said I was ugly af...find a hairstylist that will listen I know they are out there. I haven't gone to a salon in over two years and I'm about to do it...we shall see

@@ericadavenport2039 Went back and looked again just in case I was mistaken. While I agree from the roots, where it hasn't been in contact with chemicals, to around two thirds of the way down it does look healthy, the third of the ends where it's been bleached is dry and brittle. I wasn't judging mine gets dry at the ends too.

( First timers ) wet hair before cutting especially curly and wavy hair leave it 1 inch or more longer then you intended to this leaves you room to fix mistakes and make it even without losing the length you wanted. Years ago I had a problem with idle hands and scissors. I would keep snipping at my hair until it was *short*! I outgrew it and no longer even trim my bangs between visits to my hairdresser. Because she *always* knows and comments.
That was excruciating!
This was so painful watch. Her hair was beautiful to begin with.
Some of these people, you just want to reach through the screen and take the scissors and be like “Stop it! Stop it before you make it worse!” She is definitely one of those people. Going by my aunt’s pricing at her hair salon (she’s a beautician), a bobcut starting from hair just past shoulder-length like that would be very inexpensive. Like, less than $30. This girl actually thought cutting that small amount of hair would cost the same as chopping off waist-length hair in repeated cuts???
Seriously, what makes these people think they can do better than the folks who went to school, took the tests, and were certified to become hair stylists? It’s true that there are some bad stylists out there, but the majority definitely know what they’re doing, and don’t just do like the Mom-cut bangs from our childhoods. Sure, hair grows back, but you look like a fool for months until it does. Just quit being so arrogant and go to the salon! And stop giving people on the internet (like us) reason to laugh at you! It only makes you look *more* foolish, all things considered. I love watching Hair Buddha react to these cringefests, but these people are conceited idiots, thinking they know better and that they’ll save money when the reality is they’re going to spend EVEN MORE just trying to fix their mistakes, all of which could have been avoided had they just gone to the salon in the first place!

I've never had a helper manage to cut a straight line at the back. So I'd say it's a so-so advice.
The style really suits her, the bangs will grow in rather quickly, fix the back and add some texture for a bit of movement and volume and it would be lovely.
Your hair grows on average 6 inches/ 15 cm a year.

I did something like this 2 years ago. I had 2 mirrors and I had my hair wet. I knew it wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough for the moment. After it grew maybe 4 inches I had what my hairdresser called a bell head. I got the bottom ends layered so now it does look better. I can see how my hair dresser does the layering, but I am not able to replicate it. I tried once, butchered it a bit. But since then I’ve had it fixed. Nowadays I only cut my bangs when needed and get the rest of my hair trimmed every 4 or 5 months or so.
If you have long hair & wear it up most of the time & if your hair is a bit wavy or frizzy, you can just chop the ends off yourself. Saves so much $ and time❤
I have very long hair ( I can sit on it ) and go to the salon to get the ends cut straight( about once a year 🤣)
It costs €27.50 and she washes it, cuts it and dries it , well worth it as I know it will be straight.
