Green Day's origins are in the punk scene at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, where in the 90s they were the soundtrack of the toughest teenagers in skater culture. Quickly discovered through that Californian underground scene, they were largely responsible, along with other influential groups like Sublime and The Offspring, for bringing American punk rock back into the mainstream. Green Day has never stopped performing, winning five Grammy Awards along the way. In 2012 they recorded a new trilogy of albums, entitled ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré!-the third and last was released in early 2013. Green Day's fans will rock out in the decidedly versatile Auditorium Stravinski. (FFJM © 2013)

The lyrics are so simple, unlike their other music, but that doesn't matter, the atmosphere of the song really shows what it's like to be young and ignorant, filled with wonder and uncertainty. I could probably write a whole essay about how stay the night is an amazing song. Yes, it's lyrics are simple, and not as grandiose as their other songs, but it captures the feeling and emotions of young teens.
