- Telehandler trouble! Almost fell off trailer! Another heavy machine mishap, luckily this one was not rolled over. Not sure how this one happened, but Alex was sent to fix it in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator. Easy enough job with the right truck and the right equipment.
Easy top lift points were used for a full vertical lift to get this unit off and onto the ground where it was originally supposed to be. A bit on the heavy side, but Big Flipper could barely feel the weight.
We've had about half a dozen of these type of jobs in the past couple months, what do you guys think is the issue? Lack of spotter or driver error?

While this was a routine lift, it illustrates the care that is taken with the customers machine. Alex does a great job rigging, checking and insuring that everything is proper before the lift. Thanks for the Thanksgiving treat and hope all of you and yours have a chance to enjoy the companionship and of course a great meal of the day. As a note, the way the lift was done, the driver was as safe as if she was under a grease rack. I just read the comments, amazing the number of people who choose negative responses. A lot of "back in my day" people.
In Australia all low-loader trailers designed to carry machines/heavy equipment have as standard hydraulic ramps, and they are about 2ft wide each, to accomodate narrow/wide tyres or tracks.
Always use a spotter when loading/unloading.
No manual handling of ramps. They are chained to the trailer when up, stops any creep.
Makes life easy if you are doing several loads a day.
Alex, you are an expert of your industry man, love your work. 👏
That customer all over and under the pick was stressing me out.
They always do that. Stresses me out too.
I dont think there was much between the shoulders
So you would have driven the truck forward with ramps still attached to the trailer?
@@williamedwards1528 I would of just got in the machine hit the leveling back to the other end of the cylinder then put the steering into front only and backed it off. there is nothing to hurt in the underside of a telehandler those axles will plow the earth. it might hurt those ramps but it would of been far cheaper than this current bill
@williamedwards1528 creeping forward slowly with the ramps attached to the trailer wouldn't have hurt a thing. The telehandler was already picked by the wrecker, why didn't he just rotate it around to the back and avoid working under the load?
The woman really saw a need to help. At least she was thinking. Good job for both of you.
Nice, smooth gentle lift and set. A real pro at work.
Good job Alex getting it lifted and safely set on the ground with out any damage! She was lucky it didn't roll over!
Pepe' s towing is 💯👍
Nice Job, Buts what's even better is your personality and how you think of people. I don't know who raised you but they did good job of it!!!
Oh sure ,sit in the machine while I lift it up in the air 😂
There appears to be a doll hanging about 3/4 of the way up the boom. I don't recall seeing this up there before. Interesting.
❤another great job Alex. A true professional and gentleman. Always offering to help a lady in need.
I want to wish you Alex and Family a very Happy Thanksgiving
Also Happy Thanksgiving to all the hard working folks from Pepe’s. Especially Josh and his Dad.
Aloha from Hawaii
Amazing that the owner didn’t train the operator on the proper way to operate / secure / move the Telehandler. Would you let $200k + piece of gear be handled by just anyone. Making some big assumptions plus insurance policy may be void in some cases.
PS - Great video, no false drama, just everyday life.
You shouldnt be surprised honestly, just how companies roll, probably lowest bidder
someone did the dirty dog move on them and put the machine in crab then did not fully line the wheels up before going back to regular 4 wheel steer its a great competence test on the jobsite when you put someone new in the machine. if they are trained right they will take the minute to correct it instead driving trying to fight the back of the machine wandering around. its the same with the tilt I always tilt the machine all the way over when I get out so its an easy step out of the cab and keeps the untrained off the machine
Well at least give them credit for knowing when they are beat. Many idiots would have taken a chance and carried on till it fell off completely
Did y’all not hear that the damn ramps shifted??…..it happens, at least this lady is doing more of a job that you all probably are
@@yanevaknow1017 they shifted because she drove off the ramps her incompetence on knowing how to operate a telehandler just cost very large amount. this heavy wrecker stuff is not a charity its very expensive
Good work! In the drone shot, I thought there was a person standing in the background between the flatbed and the wall. Only when you lifted the entire boom that I realized it was Chucky hanging on the boom.😂🙄
Yep, nice job Alex! 👍
That driver did not seem all that competent. She should have at least had a spotter while trying to back that off since the load was wider than the trailer bed and the ramps. Glad she knew when to stop and ask for help though.
Hey Josh /// Alex & ALL crews !! ""Happy Thanksgiving "" To ALL !!1 🙂🙃😉😊 Thanks for the video & your time !!!! 🤠😎👍👍👍👍👍
Is that a Chucky doll?
yes
Machine hit the 3 wheel motion Bro 😂😂 good job.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all the pepe's tonw
It happens to most of us. We learn and move on.
Good job Alex!! Super easy lift gets all the same care as a tricky one. Big Flipper could rip all kinds of stuff off that machine with the straps in the wrong place. Happy Thanksgiving from Oregon!!
Great job as usual !
Bravo excellent travail.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Joshua.

Happy Thanksgiving Great job!
Buenas noches da gusto ver los vídeos que hacéis de vuestros trabajos, fantástico ,un trabajo con mucha maña y experiencia.❤👍🖐️💪🇪🇦.JESUS
We found with our telehandler, it was much easier to load on a float in 2 wheel steer. In 4 wheel steer it is much harder.
Great job and attention to detail. is that Ragged Andy overseeing everything from up top?
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at Pepe's.
I hated to load flat beds! I loaded wheel loaders .(brand new ones)- W e had a drive on loading ramp - I couldn't see directly in front of me mostly because 75% of the loaders we sold came with buckets. I'd have to get the drivers to guide me on- a couple of times I almost went off the trailer because of poor directions. My favorite trailer was a Loadall trailer! My next favorite was a RGN. I also hated 3 or 4 extra axle stingers/jeeps. I would have to pull the jeeps off of the trailers and reassemble them. It's ok if you have no other trucks behind them but it sucked when you had a pile of people waiting to get loaded. For those of you that say why didn't you get a spotter? I say yes that is what "THEY" say but getting one out to the loading area was like pulling teeth!
Happy Thanksgiving Pepe
Lady: Sitting in the telehander. 13:24
Pepe: “You are going to want to stand back when I lift it.”
Lady: “So where do you want me to go.”
Pepe: Confused look.
Does she think she's going to drive it off?
Nice job.. what year is big flipper?
What mischief do you have attached to your boom? Looks like someone might have Halloween decorations still out.😂😂😂
👍✌ Happy Thanksgiving
Good eyes !!!
The e is a first time for everything 😮😮
'There is a first time for everything '
Both! mostly the truck drivers ineptitude with the equipment. She was lucky! And she doesn't even know it...
👍👍
I wonder if it has four wheel steering?
Happy Turkey 🦃 day
Brand-new equipment...seems like she wasn't familiar with that equipment.
Why only 2 outriggers - (just curious) wouldn’t you use all 4 of them?
It's only going to pull towards the weight.
could of easily drove that off the truck just put the steering in front only so it lines back up with the ramps and let the hanging axle just drag down the ramp. truck driver probably got scared from the bang it made when it dropped. whoever ran the machine last did not line the wheels up when they went out of crab mode. also you really should use a tag line when doing lifts like this you probably wont need it 99% of the time but that 1% when you get that phantom gust of wind and the load starts swinging it really comes in handy
#Pinoytrucker
Does it seem that way or is it also true that female drivers feel more involved in these kinds of matters than men?
yes. its a matter of pride.

Should have told them its broken 😂
Overloaded that reach lift.

The guy that owns my truck owns extreme Reach forks And I was always trained to load the machines backwards on our trailers. But we have trailers with fold up ramps. Not ramps like that they're not safe. So when we load them on backwords, it's easier to drive them off forwards, and you always look at your tires and you put it in crab calls the easiest.
That’s not your truck .next time they ask is a the company’s truck
It’s his assigned truck, man you are a bitter soul
