A favorite quote by Vladimir Horowitz "There are only 3 types of pianists: GAY, Jewish or Bad" LOL. Of course most of the most beloved composers were gay. were they all gay? Much of those were almost definitely bi and others I'm not sure were gay at all

One of the things that modern scholarship makes clear is that Schubert did NOT have syphillis!

What a lovely video. It's important for everyone to learn about queer and trans people in history, and especially about successful, happy ones. So often the stories we hear are the tragic ones that revolve around prejudice and oppression. But videos like this really reinforce the fact that queerness is not new, and that queer people have (and do) lead full, beautiful lives that can improve the world and leave positive, lasting legacies.
It's so important for young queer and trans people to see themselves reflected in the stories of renowned, beloved historical figures, and for everyone to challenge our tendency to default to cis/straightness when considering people in the past. I love this!

@@militaryandemergencyservic3286 You understand that it's absolutely not a proof he was straight ? There is millions of gay men married with women and who have children and who are even not bisexuals but gays who's wants to fit in heteronormativity.
I think he was, Cellini's allusion is rather transparent. But more material will be helpful for sure.
