- This video explains how to fix the door handle hardware when you can't get the handle reinstalled properly due to a clip inside being locked in place accidentally. This was a major pain in the butt to figure out and took me a ton of time so please excuse the crude video and feel free to buy me a case of beer for the time and aggravation that this will save YOU!

I had to change the lock and of course remove the handle. If anyone would have told me to unscrew that goddamn screw to the end....I would not have spent 3 hours on my knees by that door. Once I pushed that thing on the video, I replaced the handle in literally 3 minutes...

An angel sent from god. Thank you. I was flabbergasted. THE REAL QUESTION IS!? Is this intentionally designed like this, so people working on cars end up taking it to a dealer? Dealer charges hundreds of dollars, and just pops the brass piece back? I don’t see that mechanism connected to any hardware for door function.
It has a purpose: It's main function is to aid in the creation of colorful new swear words.

Yes, that was the point of making the video, to show how the little parts work and where they are located so that you should be able to get in there with a little hook tool and release it from the outside.
