I do not like the translation in italian language. It borrows me
I love that you take the time for yourself to make a luscious orange honey cake. Living alone at 72, I rarely treat myself so well. It is a beautiful luxury anyone can do. I will now make a cup of tea and some blueberry cornbread muffins. Warm out of the oven with butter! My mouth is watering at the thought! Thanks for inspiring me to live a more intentional life.
My sister was here as I watched this video, Nicholas, and she said "he's so soothing to listen to, like your own little tranquilizer." I'm not sure about the tranquilizer lol, but you do bring a soothing calmness. Another lovely video, thank you!
Haha - how fun! Thank you!

All your videos are so gracious, serene, soothing & inspiring. Thank you.💜
I'm so glad you think so - thank you!
Your words are perfect. Blessings to all.🙏🌻🐕🥰🇺🇸
You have such natural elegance and class. Your videos are so calming. Thank you for sharing your life with us!
Very kind, thank you so much!
As soon as I see your sweet furry friend Sophie, everything is perfect!❤️❤️❤️
She's the best!
Very nice video. Looking at you and listening to your stories is just a balm for the heart, joy, solid positive. Your cake is incredible, fabulous and I should bake one too. You have made wonderful catches, all souvenirs will perfectly complement your amazing home. Your parents can be proud of their son, I think that you are the joy of their whole life, you could work anywhere - even as a priest, even as a doctor, even as a designer and people would be delighted with you, your voice is mesmerizing and looks like soft velvet. It was a pleasant meeting and I hope that you have not caught a cold from this weather. Sophie cutie is always there. Good luck Nick. Lots of love and prosperity❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a lovely comment! Thank you!

I find your videos so relaxing, you’re adorable.❤
I'm so glad! Thank you!
Lovely video as always. The cake sounds yummy and is right up my alley since my husband and I love cakes that haven't got loads of frosting. I went to Chatsworth the first time I went to England in 2008 and it was fabulous. The art there is such gorgeous eye candy in addition to the house itself and their farm shop is fabulous. I was in England in June and this time I went to Hardwick Hall, which is only 20 miles from Chatsworth. One of Bess of Hardwick's marriages was to Sir William Cavendish (1505 - 1557). During their marriage they began construction of Chatsworth and then later she built Hardwick Hall. There are so many wonderful historical sites to visit in England.
Sounds like a lovely visit! Thanks for sharing
I agree. I am not crazy about butter cream frosting. Light Whipped cream is my favorite.
I know you like wearing navy, but let me tell you how handsome you look in orange! 🧡
The post card of Chatsworth would look great in a frame.
Love the idea of a tin for your teas!! As I am enjoying your almond tea, it would be perfect to keep it in a tin created by you!
Hello Nicholas, I enjoy your videos and look forward to them, especially on Sundays after my upcoming week preparation and I get into relax and unwind mode. The calm of your voice, your unique episodes are just a joy to listen too. Thank you for sharing with us. May you have a lovely and productive week.
It's really a pleasure!
From my home in Texas to your home
Thank you everyone so much for sharing your wisdom
Take care have a blessed and awesome week
Thank you so much !
Another relaxing video! I like the idea of making cake batter in one bowl. The Chatsworth house momentos are really neat!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Nicholas you’re the positive person who has the best choice of elegant gifts for such an awesome person I think you postcard will look lovely above the fireplace
Thank you!
I’ve recently started watching your videos and I just cannot stop watching them and I’m always waiting for a new one. Thanks for sharing your life with us x
It's my pleasure! Thanks for being here!
Nice video. Thank you
You're closing in on 200K subscribers, way to go!✨
I can't believe it! Thank you so much!
Nicolas, I live quite close to you and have to say the weather also inspired me to bake a lemon drizzle. I will try the orange and honey next time. Delicious combination. Thank you 🩷
I hope you'll enjoy it!

Love your show, just a little tip when you're cracking eggs into your cake batter, crack them into a separate dish so that you don't get any shells or God forbid you have a rotten egg. That would be a nice tip for your viewers. Good luck with everything you do.

Thank you!
The tea tin is so pretty and I love your idea to create your own one! Gift Shops are wonderful, they have so special creative things who are the "Cherry on the dessert" for your home.
Oh Nicolas,
You live in such a beautiful historical place Edinburgh! So beautiful.
Your trip to be with your parents just so endearing. Love it!!
The scenery of your trip divine so easy on the heart and soul. Absolutely healing and peaceful.
The castle majestic.
The orange cake a show piece for entertaining and a special treat. I love citrus myself.
You are so kind and thoughtful sharing your life with us.
Take good care Nicolas being with family is so important.
Can’t wait for your next video. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I loved the cake and the Chatsworth visit. Yes to the tea caddy/tin . So pretty
Glad you enjoyed it!
In USA we call that a "sheet cake"😜!
Looks lovely..but i heard that when honey is exposed to extreme heat it turns poisonous.Hope i am wrong.❤
What you have referred to as the family 'crest' on the tin is in fact the Coat of Arms (or shield) and the 'Coat of Arms' on the lid of the candle jar is in fact the crest. As a picture is worth a thousand ... here is a link:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_of_Devonshire#/media/File:Wappen_Duke_of_Devonshire.png
Crests appear at the very top of an Achievement of Arms but the main aspect of any Achievement is in fact the shield which can be loosely described as a 'coat of arms' as it is this which identifies the family. (Hope this is useful)
Hi Nicolas. Watching your videos on a Sunday is just what I love. ❤
I'm so happy to hear that!
Nicolas is so gorgeous❤ I hope you guys are having a great summer so far🙏 Positive vibes to everybody here ✨💕
Very kind - Thank you!
Your postcard is adorable. Something I do with postcards like that is frame them. And it’s very inexpensive to do. Just put a black or a white background in a small frame that would be suitable for the size of the postcard.
Hi Nicolas I enjoy your videos every time . Good week.
Dear Nicolas, I LOVE your vlogs! They are so artistic, elegant & soothing for the spirits. Thank you! God bless!
Frame the postcard Nicolas in a simple, thin black frame before you rest it on your fire mantle!
🍊Your kitchen is so clean and cozy
Thank you!
Hi from Sweden. You really have a great and inspirational channel. Thank you.
Hello again from Copenhagen, Denmark ;-)
Bonjour Nicolas. I am french. I like watching you and listening to you. You speak so slowly that I can understand quite everything... I hope that my english will improve thanks to you. Merci beaucoup Nicolas
You’re my favorite! I always can’t wait to get home from a hectic day and play one of your videos, have a cocktail and follow your recipes and decorating ventures. It’s like I get to have my own personal slice of tranquility and elegance. Thank you so much for all that you do. ❤️❤️❤️
So calming to watch your videos and enjoy your baking
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for sharing all those wonderful beautiful plases and things loved the tea tin container have a blessed week ❤

Nice cake! Love the cute gifts from Chatsworth. This was a lovely relaxing episode as usual. We all appreciate you so much. ❤
That is so kind! Thank you!
Greetings from America. I appreciate your understanding of how important the sensuous is to a satisfying life.
It was so nice spending time with you during this video. The joy you experienced when the cake came out well and when you shared your purchases with us with your soothing voice, makes us feel special. Many Blessings Nicolas. 🙂🦋❤
Hi Nicolas !!! Your videos are beautiful and you are very nice and eloquent !!! Thank you very much!!!! Really love what you do!
My pleasure! Thank you so much!
I love your gift shop purchases. Chatsworth is someone I'd love to go. I love gift shops as well and find great unique decor items for my home that reminds me of my travels.
They are the best!
Your channel is phenomenal and so inspiring, plus your Sophie is so adorable.
Thank you SO much x
Honey & orange cake is such an appealing prospect. Nicolas, I can truly envision you in Italy visiting beautiful places (Florence, please!) and tellng us about them. Please have faith in your instincts and take one day at a time and I am sure you will know what to do. I am mulling spending at least part of my own later years in Normandy (as a dual Irish-U.S. citizen) when my dear Mom passes. I love France and teach an EU-focused topic. Step by step for me!
(P.S. Nice thing about EU, as opposed to the 3,000 mile-wide U.S. is how compact things are. Your are generally only an hour or less flight away from anything.. as the budget permits.)
Best wishes, Maureen M.
Thanks for your kind wishes!
I am just like you when it comes to mixer vs. mixing by hand, I much prefer the ease and simplicity of mixing by hand. Just the name alone, "Honey & Orange Cake" is delicious! The finished product looks wonderful! I love your gift shop finds. I'm a sucker for tea tins (& biscuit tins) and candles too! And I agree that that die cut postcard will be a lovely touch on your mantle. Little things like that make a home look cozy like a home and not a museum or hotel, especially when there is a memory or emotion attached. That book you were given is a real treasure.
What a lovely comment! Thank you!
Hi Nicolas,
An attractive tea tin from your shop is an excellent idea. Maybe a theme combining you prints, which are so lovely.👍
Good luck.🍀
Thank you so much!
BONJOUR NICOLAS from South of France🇫🇷❤️So glad to see you!! And find your Time with you Filled with Peace,,, positive energy! YUMMY CAKE❤🎉😊
I like to hand mix too vs my kitchen aid mixer. Confession-it was given to me and intimidates me. I made lemon tea cakes today! Cheers!
That cake does look good, and easy to make. Chatsworth looks so elegant and beautiful, looking forward to checking out your blog! I must admit that these days, I use a plastic clip top container for teabags, the ones I use are easy to open and close, but the Chatsworth tin is beautiful. Thank you for another varied episode, with wee Sophie, baking, travel and the lovely book❤
My pleasure!
Another lovely video Nicolas, thank you. I’m delighted to see your purchases from Chatsworth and you’ve given me an idea for a gift to an elderly friend. She has a great love of Chatsworth from her childhood, as I believe it was her Aunt and Uncle that worked at Chatsworth and had accommodation there too. She had stayed with them during their time at Chatsworth. I will see if I can buy online as I live on the other side of the world!🥰
Thank you for taking us to Chatsworth and for sharing your gift shop finds! I’m in Iowa and dream of visiting the large estates throughout Europe, the Uk would definitely be my first stop.
I love your videos and they always bring me joy and peace. ❤️
It's my pleasure! Thank you!
Nicolas, thank you for another relaxing and enjoyable video with baking and sharing. I like your gifts from Chatsworth House. I did tour that estate with my cousins from Manchester years ago.
It is a beautiful mansion and grounds. I too buy gifts from museums and stately homes because they are one of a kind, unique to that location. You are so welcoming and engaging. I keep coming back for more. All the best from New York City, Robert.

Wow, that cake is really something different and is perfect for a citrus summer treat. I only wish the UK didn’t give up the Imperial system and switch to metrics because for us in the USA, converting measurements is such a nuisance.
I know! I prefer all my measurements in cups now!
Just out of interest, do you not have weighing scales available to buy in the US? I personally hate cup measurements as I find it is not exact measuring for me so I dont bother with American recipes which is a shame as there are some nice ones.
I love easy cooking and baking. I also love citrus flavors in my food. Thanks for sharing with us again 😃😃 Chatsworth was beautiful too!
My pleasure!
Thanks so much Nicolas for another very informative vlog , greetings from Melbourne Australia 😊🦘🦘
My pleasure!
Hello Nicolas!
Lovely as always to see your video offering. Excellent!! Chatsworth is such a delightfully special place.
Thank you for sharing.

Loved the video and so happy to see Sophie!
I adore museums shops too🥰
You can find very nice, original and beautiful things!
For sure!
Another warm hearted video! Thanks, Nicolas, for engaging the senses! You are so soothing to watch! xoxo
You ought to be reading/doing audiobooks Nicholas, you have such a soothing charismatic voice. I could listen to you speaking for hours ❤
You've got a nice tan, Nicolas!Being from America, I'm used to calling it a sweater, as we don't "jump" into them; we put them on and try not to "sweat "!!!😂
It is rarely warm enough in the UK to seat lol
Today is so beautiful ❤️ every time you introduce New good thing 😍
Very nice
Have a great time and stay blessed
I loved your gifts from Chatsworth House. Please do a tea tin. I collect them
I absolutely love miniatures too! For me that would be an interesting video topic. I remember as a child visiting Knott’s Berry Farm. They had a huge barn filled with dollhouses and miniature villages. I could spend hours there. Sometimes I will just stare at bonsais or terrariums and just fantasize and perhaps being just a bit jealous of wanting to be in that world!
Sounds heavenly!
I grew up in California and Knotts Berry Farm was my favorite place as a child. I didn’t like Disneyland. It was just too loud and busy. I have great memories of the farm.
You possess such a calming aura. Your videos have many asmr qualities to them.
Thank you for sharing ❤
Love your videos Nicholas, any chance we can get more beauty/wellness related videos? Your skin is immaculate!
That's really kind! Thank you!
I found several new things I like from your video: a great Honey & Orange Cake Recipe, Chatsworth Tea Tin, and a new and fantastic book on garden follies, "Visions Of Arcadia." All things that I value! Thanks for the great blog, and I always enjoy watching them.
Enjoyed your relaxing video. I too like to browse and purchase something from the souvenir shop whenever I visit a place
Just love the tea tin! The artwork is glorious!!! My latest venture into the world of art is a study in architectural line drawing with watercolor wash. I'm having a lot of fun with it. Cuddles to sweet Sophie. 🐱🐾🫂❤️
That sounds like a dream!
Thank you for sharing the architectural watercolor book. What a treasure. Also you should frame your Chattsworth miniature. Its quite lovely!
Another interesting yet very relaxing video. Your videos are so special and interesting. Thank you so much. Again I send greetings from my home in the Southeastern USA.
Thank you for the snippet of Chatsworth House. I have lovely memories of visiting there. I to live the gift shop and bought the book about the house. I loved tea tin such a good choice. A tea tin in your designs would be lovely also. Another beautiful video. Thank you
Chatsworth is so very lovely! I guess Edinburgh has dodged the steaming hot summer many of us are experiencing! I enjoy your cooking videos very much, you're so good at it, maybe a cooking show is in your future!
I would love that a lot!
One cannot help but be charmed by your likeable character. Your familiarity with the very best of English culture is thoroughly captivating. In an earlier video you mentioned how you had accomplished many of the goals you set for yourself in 2023 but that the one you couldn't quite manage was to abstain from alcohol. I can identify with that aspiration quite well because I had the same goal when I was your age. You mentioned how hard it is to socialize with friends who see alcohol as an unwritten necessity in meeting group expectations. The solution I found is to simply drink a non-alcoholic beverage like diet ginger ale that has the appearance of alcohol but with none of its harmful side effects. Your friends will think you fit right in so it should be a perfect substitute for a drink that is highly addictive and ultimately risky to your long term health and well being. (Pete)
Thanks for your very kind wishes
Very nice items from Chatsworth. I was in the UK in June and Chatsworth was on my list of places to visit, but I did not get there. I love going to the gift shops. When I lived in NYC I was very close to the Metropolitan museum of Art and the Museum of Natural History so I went there to shop for gifts for friends and family. I met a friend I. My new location who sells unique items to Museum shops and he has given me several of them for my birthdays. Most unique.
We don’t see you in bright colours often and I must say it suited you very well. The orange cake looked good and no icing needed. Thanks Nicolas 🙏❤️
Thank you so much!
Thank you for all the loveliness you bring us Nicolas!
It's my pleasure! Thank you!
Wow your cake is so delicious my two favorite ingredients are orange and honey. Love how simple you assemble it. Love your items you bought from the hotel or palace. It so nice to see you demonstrating places. Love the card and book 📚📚. Keep up the good work Nicolas as always informative and showing new things for all to see. Stay inspired and empowered and be safe out there. Love your contents is more important and interesting. Looking forward to seeing you again Nicolas xxx.
Thanks so much for your very kind words!
Nicolas, thank you for another lovely video! The cake looks delicious!
As for the postcard from Chatsworth, I would frame it to either sit on the mantle, or hang it as you accumulate others.
My pleasure! Thank you!
I love watching your videos: such a oasis of serenity especially in the crazy times we are living through. Thank you so much for your gift to us.
I so enjoyed spending time with you!
As always, I enjoyed your new video! You are amazing!
Lovely treat today! I love your gift shop purchases. I am a sucker for nice tea tins as well, so will look for yours with anticipation.

I love visiting the gift shops at any landmark. There is usually a selection of beautiful, artsy pieces, treats, and unique finds. That tea tin is beautiful!
I'm so glad you liked it too!
Delicious...
Those gardens and generous landscape...
Thank you Nicolas another refreshing video.
I know you don’t like to bake but I enjoy your cooking and baking videos.
I live very close to Chatsworth House. It’s probably one of the finest houses in the UK.
Hi Nicolas what a lovely place I love your videos so resting.
Thank you for letting us spend time with you! I would love to smell the candle you bought😊.

Thank you for the glimpse of Chatsworth House. Such a significant part of British history and so many interesting residents throughout the centuries. I will definitely follow up on the Visions of Arcadia book.
I think you will love it!
I love all your videos tremendously!. Sending Love and Light from Sacramento, California, USA❤
