They actually did a concert in 2022! After years of absence, they inexplicably came back to do a concert on a cruise ship called Shiprocked, and then disappeared once again. Makes me hopeful that they'll do another random one-off concert one day.

@@kruissina5571 I want to get the vinyl too someday. I'm glad that there are other people out there who appreciate this album and band like I do. I haven't met a singe person who has even heard of We Are The Fallen. I've had this album on repeat for like three years and I never get tired of it.

I think i’m the only one who has ever upload a video on vinyl of this beautiful album. you’ll never get tired of them trust me. I think We Are the fallen is one of those beautiful things that can happened once in a very long time, such a shame music labels didn’t understand how talented she was. And of course Ben’s a fucking genius!!

Their debut and unique album was indeed a great one, now on 2024 I still listen to it, sadly they didn't put out anything more, because they were a great band.
I discovered WATF during pre covid..and have fallen in LOVE🖤! There’s a part of me wishes they would come out with a new album..but if they chosen to focus on family..that’s a great choice🙌🏾

The only way I can tell this song's lyrics can be related to the ancient holiday Samhain is that it sounds like the singer wants to spend more time with the spirit of a loved one before the spirit returns to the Otherworld.

Found this band not too long ago. I love Evanescence and Spotify obviously clocked that and recommended this band to me. I love WATF. Like, it has a familiarity to it but Carly's vocals are epic too. I think my favourites are Sleep Well My Angel and St John. Kinda wish they'd do a second album.

pretty sure they're done. Ben hasn't really done anything since he got married and had kids. The singer I don't know too much about but from what it looks like on wiki she's focused on family life too. the others started other projects since then.

They should have led with this song instead of “bury me alive”. This would have given them more momentum rather than that slow song.
I'm confused because Bury Me Alive has a faster tempo. Of the two, Samhain is slower...

Ben thought it sounded very similar to Evanescence, so he decided not to put the song in the album.
It was released, it is the official bonus track for the napster version of the album, also there is an official live version of this song in their live concert in DVD.

They should have added it anyway... I mean, they named the band "we are the fallen" knowing that the best Evanescence album is called Fallen... This name thing is a huge polemic in my opinion, but since they went with this name, this song would be even close to how polemic the band name is... They should have tried to stay away from this type of dispute.
The band ended because a lot of Evanescence fans spread hate towards this band.
@@leoni7649 "best" Evanescence album is hugely subjective. I personally think their self titled is leagues beyond Fallen... And I think this band failed because they couldn't separate themselves from the sound of Fallen-era Evanescence. I think they might have a chance of revival if they head in a different direction.

Evanescence self titled album could never be as successful as Fallen was because it is much more niche, so if you calculate the average of acceptance and reach of each album, then you will see that the self titled is statistically a trash.
@@leoni7649 We aren't talking about sales. At least I wasn't. I was talking purely on a musical and creative level. Fallen had a huge success because it happened to come out during the time when kids were into the "gothic/emo" era and it was a big hit because of "goth" Amy being the lead singer,and it was new and unique in pop radio. An album like Fallen coming out now would not be met with the same reception it did then, especially since there are now so many female fronted bands with arguably better albums than Fallen. Fallen just happened to come at the right time, at the right place and being the first of its kind. Take that away, and I'm sure it would not do as well today.
But as far as creativity and lyrics, everything after Fallen is way, way better. And it makes sense, since the lyrics in Fallen come straight from their teenage years, and Amy has even said it's embarrassing, like reading her own diary when she was a teenager. As for Ben, he likes to reuse and rehash the same guitar rifts over and over. All his songs sound the same. Even in WAtF, there's a song that uses the same damn rift as Going Under. It's silly. But to be fair, he has admitted in interviews that Amy Lee has always been the more creative one of the two, whereas he just wants to make more commercial music.

The singer is Carly Smithson. And of course she reminds you of Amy. The Band consisted to 60% of former Evanescence members. I guess thats why they picked her. XD
