I went to Matt at AE specialist centre for my Cayenne Turbo. Matt was very friendly at the beginning but throughout the whole ordeal, more and more issues came up and the bill went sky high. 4 months later, my new airbags from him needed replacement as they had developed leaking. Matt said unfortunately he only has guarantee for 3 months but he will give me a special 10% discount on a replacement. I ended up spending a total of over 25k. My regular mechanic who I trust told me that when a lot of the issues that AE brought up were non existent a week earlier. I would recommend avoiding AE at all costs.
Im using this premium brand shock absorbers for my car as well. This brand was recommended by one of my friend who uses this adjustable suspension in all of his 4 cars.
So sorry to hear the air suspension give issues. Usually air leaks at connector joints are the main issues. Simple fix. Get a pneumatic or hydraulic specialist to goes over all those joints and fix it properly ,your mechanics usually know next to nothing about how it works and may have overtighten them or not routing the piping properly. Yes simple thing that screws up your car. If your car don,t have DRC you only have basic air suspension which don,t even have variable damping setting. If you change to spring you lose the ability of the car to lower itself and self level . DRC is the party piece that give your RS6 car its incredible handling like the Mclaren system. Its basically the same except it use hydropneumatic sphere and helper spring instead of air bellows. My 20 years old hydropneumatic car still have all original hydraulic suspension parts.The original Air spheres is the only thing I recharge bcos the pressure is down about 20%. I really trash the car over bumps and uneven road n its near 300k km already. Yes the engine is nearly dead and gearbox is about to die but then its an old tough dog.

See how it goes, when I bought it 7 years ago the engine is already half dead so it may last longer . Suspension setup is very reliable but I need to change bushing n antiroll links very often as I tend to fly over bumps n broken road 😞.
I went to AE based on your recommendation and was comforted when I saw your car at the workshop when I brought my Macan in. It was not a pleasant experience with delay, redo, and dealing with the boss. After six months, a clunking noise developed in the suspension strut they worked on. :( .

Good review... sorry to hear about the botched air suspension repairs...but my experience from swapping out air suspension on my previous ls460 to coil overs wasnt a good experience... hopefully you could share more about the coilovers once you have put more miles on the car

I kena the same thing albeit he always showed me a larger bill and then "discount" offered. Everyone's bill was inconsistent, his numbers came out of nowhere and it still fails. He kept writing everywhere that he offered me to fix it for free, if so, why was I charged the last round, and why is it that he say he will fix it for me for free after learning from my videos that I have swapped to coils? I spoke to a common friend who does aftermarket coils and tuning and he told me he was pissed too, he recommended a customer to him and when the airsus failed, that guy told the customer that it was ruined by my friend ... Full of lies.
This guy is a scammer. Now the gle is at premium auto garage sunway..superb service..we got great cars & road here but not great mechanics. They claim they know it all but the real thing is they dont (I meant a few mechanics who really con customers…I believe every reader here has gone through this). Air sus is a simple mechanism but they make it so complicated. He charged RM150 for computer diagnostic (just to plug in and check). I have no idea why even the government allow such incompetent mechanics to operate without having proper education/ experience. It was a painful & pissful journey with that moronic unethical ae spec
Do you still have a code/ suspension fault error after the conversion? I have a c7.5 s6 with air and can’t find anyone that a posted about the proper way to re-code the system. Do you also still have functionality of your Audi Drive Select?
Recently the front dampers on my B8 Passat also went kaput and was considering going aftermarket and my ride comes with DCC. End up stick back to stock and my god they cost a bomb too for stock just the dampers alone are like SG$570 per pc without the mountings and labour cost. But oh well I like DCC a lot and the comfort level it brings on a daily basis. Could have gone for some Bilstein Damptronics.
Somewhere else, a friend I knew from joining my drives. Which took me a long time to realise there's a reason for his smiles and courteous behavior everytime because the stuffs he sold to me just doesn't work
Air suspension is made up of many components so technically they can be fixed part by part. I believed the wrong person and ended up sending my car to ve done by a person that gave me headaches and stress for almost a year... Even charged me more money for his own product's bad quality work. At the end I realise it will never end hence I throw away the airsus and cut the crap

After 5 yrs ownership of an A7 which comes with air suspension. To be honest Audi AirSusp is not the best in the industries. Unlike Land Rover air suspension which is very hardy and last way longer, Audi is just shit in air suspension when it comes to it. I converted it to coil susp with canceller unit. It becomes way better and much simpler and better maintenance. In short Audi air sups is just weak and too sensitive.
Coilovers good choice they the ultimate the 2024 RS6 GT is on coilovers no need 2 revert back to air to problematic if I buy a RS6 the first thing I do is go straight to coilovers
