Thank you very much fro this great walk through!
It popped out in my recommendations with the perfect timing.
I have recently started to have major issues with my local tuya devices.
All of them started to randomly disconnect and connect back a couple of times per average 5 minutes which was very frustrating.
As a result, the response time of the devices was very delayed and I was losing my mind and looking for a better solution.
I started considering swapping all my devices communication modules with ESP ones, which was not very great and it implies a lot of work.
Thanks to your video I have converted all (except one that is hard to access) my tuya devices to ESPHome and I am very satisfied with the result.
It took me a day of work and tinkering around, but it is definitely worth it!

Thanks Travis. Just finished removing all my Tuya devices from the cloud. Flashed them all with ESP Home and loving the control it gives me. I am in Thailand and the Tuya stuff would always give me issues reconnecting in either of the LOCAL Tuyas after power outages, and they're quite frequent here. Luckily the cloudcutter exploit worked on most but a few I had to flash with a BDM frame and probes.
