Absolutely adored this pedal (and the Hot Tubes itself), that and an SD-1 into an Orange amp made up my live sound. Covered a ton of sonic territory, too! Versatile for being the only guitarist in an 80's New Wave/Goth cover band.
Hot Wax has been one of my favorite OD pedals for a while now. The versatility makes it shine and I don’t know if it can be beaten at its price point, especially used.
I played this pedal so much with my space echo who cares about the price the hot wax is bitchin and most of the so called exquisite brands haven't captured the filth and fun of this gem. My new favorite is the ranch it's affordable as well would like to see your take on it
One of my favourite dirt circuits. The Red Llama is so good. I’ve been needing to try one of these. It *really* likes a boost so it makes sense to make a dual with a BB-type (the Way Huge Camel Toe pairs the Red Llama with a TS). The bass can get a bit flubby if you're not careful, but this seems like it gives solid options to control that. Agree with your want of some routing options. That's probably the biggest reason I haven't grabbed one. I actually think two Red Llamas/Hot Tubes in one box would be the best option; they boost each other really well.
would have been great IF, the EQ were separately assigned to each OD instead of sharing. What IF, i want two completely different tone shaping??? did you think about it EHX?
I was using an ODR-1 and OD-3 together and this pedal just solved all my problems. Legit sleeper pedal, worth every penny.
I appreciate this so much, because what you are playing is actually harmonically interesting. Thank you.
Aw, thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words. 😊 Thanks for watching. 👍🏻

I have about 25 dirt pedals and Red Llama has always been one of my favorites.
Such a warm sounding pedal!
Nice overview. I have one and I find it to be a fun pedal to to dial in different dirt sounds.
My son has one of these. Your settings might help him dial in some tones he likes... I'll share it with him! Good stuff!
Thanks a lot! 😊👍🏼

I agree. That's one of the few downsides of this design.
I haven't gotten a notification from your channel ina while, wonder what's the deal there. Well keep on rockin
CZcams obviously can't keep up with me. 😜👍🏻
Sleeper pedal.
Too boomy
Yeah, I'm afraid I had the volume up too high and that led to the audio clipping in this video. It's not the pedal.
