When I saw the Deck Nine logo after the Square Enix logo, I immediately sat up. Now this makes me wonder if you can interconnect with the first game or is the events in Double Exposure an alternate version of the game and you're playing an alternate version of Max.

I think Max already saved Safi with Photo Focus, and we are playing the "Double Exposure" copy of Max - the Autopilot Max that the original Max never gets to experience. But something went wrong and so we can access both realities instead of just the altered one.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure was hands-down my favorite reveal of the Xbox showcase. The detail in Max's character model is phenomenal compared to the first game, and they've aged her up to look like what I'm guessing is a woman in her late 20s (she was 18 in the first game). If they do what they did with the first game (setting it one year earlier than the game's release date), then Max should be about 27 years old in this one. It'll be cool to see her as an established adult with powers (something we haven't yet seen in these games). Also, I'm very happy that Hannah Telle has reprised her role as Max.
I doubt we'll get this, but I would like to see an explanation for these powers. A possible explanation was briefly hinted at in the first Life is Strange, but it was never expanded upon. I want to know where these powers came from.
if you buy the ultimate edition, you can play the game 2 weeks early chapter 1 and 2.. thats insane :O

Considering the fact she said "I swore I'd never use my power again" I am going to assume they are going for the save Arcadia Bay timeline or "the good ending" depending how you look at it.
it is the good ending. 1 life vs hundreds ? Even Chloé says it herself.
Maybe She's alive in the dimension Max will visit (where Sofie is alive), the big L would be Chloé but the sick version xD. That would be so bad to see.
@@SsecaveThis would be awesome but I don't think Chloe will be back/alive in this game. If she was, Square Enix/Deck Nine wouldn't miss the chance to show her in the trailer and boost the pre sellings even more

I agree, but she definitely could have sworn to never use her powers in both endings considering what they ultimately did with the storm
@@superbowler18 In the "bad" ending it seems she could have given up on using her powers right then when she refuses to go back, learning her lesson after it caused the storm. It really could be either.

I am so hype for Max returning for life is strange. After this game gets more love. I hope in the future we get another story of Sean and Daniel retuning to continue there story,
For all we know, they could even be in this game.
Max simply needs to visit David in Away while Daniel and Chris are there at the time they're shown to be there on the Redemption ending cork board. Maybe she even took that photo.

It’s crazy black ops 2 was in its prime when the first life is strange game came out on the 360, just came out randomly one day and I never thought it’d be as big as it got but damn they can do stories

I’m so hyped
You can dance around the ending binary choice of Season 1 if you have Safi/Sophie as Max's new girlfriend (yes, I know) and that Max broke up with Chloe/whoever no matter what you chose because of the guilt and bitterness and she mentions that in passing during the game.
That said, yeah, It would be great to catch up with Warren, Victoria and Kate either way. Maybe Max can send a "OMG! It's happening again!" message and they turn up at the end of the game in a closing cutscene.
I already pre-ordered on steam. Now I need to find a way to fast forward almost 5 months.

This is either gonna be an alternative timeline Max OR Chloe will have died regardless. There’s NO way they wouldn’t have at least included a flashback scene of Chloe even if she wasn’t in it.
I’ve always said Chloe was destined to die. She died SO MANY FUCKING TIMES and kept getting saved by Max. She said it herself “maybe I’m delaying my destiny”.
If Chloe is in the game in one of them timelines I don't think they would include it in the trailer like they are keeping it more of a surprise because that's what people are expecting to see

There's a theory going around that the game might even let us see Rachel alive in another timeline. Shifting parallel world is a smart way around bringing back dead characters
It's possible, but Max's line in the trailer did say "it's the same as this one except you're dead" to Safi, so maybe there aren't such huge differences as Rachel being alive.

I'm going to assume that this takes place after the "save Arcadia Bay" ending and that we will get a parallel universe Chloe cameo that will make Max emotional and cause some sort of internal conflict.
It might help her get closure to have Chloe tell her she doesn't blame her and she did the right thing.
