That thing’s got an awesome sound to it! It’s unbelievable that 4x4 tractors lose so much of their value. Selling new for $99k and now they sell from as low as $4k-15k. And they can still do a good days work. They’re a bargain if you’re looking for horsepower!

Wow...just when I thought the perfect tractor didn't exist...
The Steiger-built tractors with Cat engines are my favorite. Nice to see a yellow engine being used for a repower instead of a Cummins. Looks like a 3406B or C engine so I am guessing it came out of a truck.

Remember being awestruck by the size of the rig verses their fleet of 2wd deeres w/6 bottom rigs. Thakyou for all the videos and histories of all color and variants.

That’s the engine Steiger should have been using in the first place rather than that rod throwing 903. Guarantee it’s easier on fuel. Can’t beat a Cat engine.

It’s interesting because the PTA 325 used the 3406. I’m guessing that they wanted to differentiate the blue models from the green models or it was a Ford request.

Can't see why it was necessary to do so, as the hood tilts way up fir engine access.
