  • In this video we go through the 1 basic steps to detailing the interior of your car (for beginners). From hoovering out, to dressing the plastics, and right the way through to conditioning your leather seats, we go through all the stages to getting the inside of you car looking like it did in the showroom.
    These are just the basic steps, and would be done during most routine washes - with the possible exception of leather cleaning and conditioning which usually requires a simple wipe down if done regularly.
    We will also soon be adding more in depth videos for each stage, and they will be linked below as and when they become available on our channel.

    I have been binge watching your videos since yesterday. I know nothing about car care and I find these videos very easy to follow and very educational.
    I really like how you explain the method just by showing it rather than talking and also I like how you explain what products you use along the way. Keep up the good work, probably the best and most informative channel I have seen.

    Be careful with those upholstery brushes folks, some of them can be really harsh, I ruined one of the headrests in my old Note. As a rule of thumb start with the softest brush you have first and work up. Now I often use a 2" nylon paint brush where I have cut the bristles down to around an inch (that's 50mm and 25mm for the youngsters!). On interiors I do all the seats then start at the top and work down doing the mats and windows last. I prefer doing interiors over exteriors tbh as I find the whole snow foam/shampoo thing to be a pita.
    You could consider a steam cleaner for the interior but you really need something with a bit of oomph. The Dupray neat is decent at £150 but anything with similar specs (you are looking at the temp and the pressure) will be fine.

    • @TheDetailingSpace
      @TheDetailingSpace  Před 5 lety

      Odd... Maybe they're making assumptions that their viewers have a basic knowledge. Or, that said, sometimes what comes across as basic common sense to some folk (such as the glass cleaning tip), may not have even crossed someone else's mind.
      Then there's also the fact that some of the other guys have probably done things for so long it's second nature, and they forget that to some people may have never thought about it.
      Hope that all makes sense lol

      @nbamford03 Před 5 lety

      I did my seats with this, a litre won't do att the seats and carpets in a 4x4 but should be ok for a standard 4 door. application is easy, just spray it on until the seat is damp to the touch and let it dry (around an hour). I would advise treating the heavy traffic areas (i.e. front) first then you can always skimp a bit if you start running out.
      Can't comment on how good it is as I've only had it on a month or so
