- Met up with Dean and did some NYS&W and NJT railfanning. Unfortunately Dean was late for the NYS&W so you will note his crestfallen and disconsolate mood earlier on. We saw the usual great variety of NJT power including those classic EMD’s plus the”Armed Forces” engine #4502 with a grandiose K5LLA horn which we heard twice. We also caught NS local H70 with 2 SD60E’s. Dean has an unforgettable opinion about that railroad that could be made more unforgettable but he respects my desire for a Family Channel 😀😀😀. A fun afternoon/evening overall!!!!

hello retired railfan horn guy its is randy and i like yours cool thanks friends randy
Love the colors of the first
Brakemen and fighter polits are cool, especially A10 warthog and Acela operators. 👍🏾
Yes Dean was crestfallen. Great variety of NJT trains, freights and power!! Thanks Tim.😀💚
Nice Catches make sure you catch 4640 with a e60 paint scheme and a new P01235 horn
GP40's will never die.
2X EMD SD70M-2’s. Power to spare and a railfan’s heaven. And your comment about 1st Generation EMD power is demonstrably and nearly encyclopedically correct. Thanks, Tim!!!
I love how these crossing bells ring and then shush 🤫 we want to hear the horns! 😅
Really love the videos and commentary 👌
One of my favorite semi road, but yard switching is the General Motors EMD SW-1O01. little brother SW-1500s or later the MP 1500s. Man, I couldn't tell you how many times I got a ride in the Cab of Conrail Locomotive.
What amazing collection of catches, horn shows and EMD Engine roars! Love those EMD GP38s and PL42ACs, Wish I could catch this much action when I Railfan as I've been to some of these locations before.
They are GP40 types
@@3985uprrcan you railfan this crossing more often 4:09
Awesome catches bud home rails for me and yes I used to ride the Njt locos
Those geep horns always give me chills. I wish Microprecision would make K5LA’s that sounded good like that again!
Tim, as much as you love Philly, it's tough being a Flyers (and Phillies) fan!
I still dig the Phillies but they are doing poorly so far
I like the Train horn guy but I've herd filming with the CSX River line in New York state in 2001 on Railroad video productions and you on Green frogs Preview Elizabeth Port Nj on the North East Cordor areas
I still have Still Volume 1 from Railroad video productions but I'm gonna try to get Vol2 from Railroad video productions
Metro North wins all the way to Port Jervis NY
I've seen Nofolk Southern on the Pascack Valley line working Local freight service by Teterboro by Hackensack Nj to Emerson Nj seems to happen to Randomly
This ALP45 with The Armer force K5HLL reminds me of Train horn being herd on Norfolk Southern with Local freight service along the Pascack Valley line and Erie Main and Bergen County lines or South Jersey by North Coast line Raritan Valley or Lehigh line That CSX NJ Transit uses
It's Pretty interesting to hear them
Home rails for me! (Ramsey at least). Can't believe they are STILL running the old EMDs, practically identical to 30 years ago!

I occasionally go to the Ramsey Farmers Market on Sunday.
Surprised Dean didn't use his vehicle to catch up to Susquehanna at another crossing.
He thought he could make it, but he got stuck at a traffic light
@@3985uprr Did he ever tell you off camera why it is he dislikes NS? Very curious to hear that. If he did, do you think you could say it in a family friendly way? 😂
@@ariesarethebest271 No 😀😀😂 Mainly because it isn’t as busy there as it once was and the locomotive power is boring. He is getting sick of being there. He’s a city guy. I’d probably like living there but it isn’t perfect. I don’t want to get into the reason why.
@@3985uprr Gotcha. Thanks.
Considering how old the GP40s must be, how much longer does NJ Transit plan to keep them in use?
Another few years. They will run forever if needed.
It'll be a while. They were slated for retirement, but because of the PL42AC's unreliability, they're gonna stick around for a while.
Is there like a MTA radar for NJ Transit?
Unfortunately no. I use Departure Vision for certain station departures
4:45 blueprint horn blowing?
They do full crossing horns. Not abbreviated honks.
Did u see French onion soup engineer
He passed through earlier
@@3985uprr did u do a video of him arriving at the station
@@michaellittlejohns7968 That’s the best part
@@3985uprr what train number was he doing, what engine number was he driving and what time did he arrive or go straight through the station
Why has dean stop uploading even tho he still Railfans?
You’d have to ask him
