    This "fact" that floats around that historically, women couldn't work or go away from home is quite pernicious, whereas, in reality, it was quite the opposite. The trick is that back then, businesses ran out of the house. Mom and Pop shops have been around since commerce began.

      My grandma is 84 years and as far as I know she always worked mostly in agriculture and selling the produce in the city fair,she also worked in a cafe I don’t how long,while she works in the farm she would put the kids in a hole in the dirt or locked them at home😂
      Maybe it’s an American thing because my country was poor af and everyone needed to work and now we are just poor so most start working at 18 or 22/23 years.

    In Italy, cases of a real gender pay gap, in the sense of discrimination for equal work or work of equal value, are very rare. It is more accurate to speak of a gender earning gap, meaning that women are more likely to accept unstable or part-time contracts or to work in lower-paying jobs.

    I think the nurturing instinct is more of a human thing. I know women who don’t have it and feel incredibly ashamed of it.
    We make motherhood and raising children this magical thing that women just randomly acquire but it is actually an incredible skill that a lot of hard work goes into.
    Men who have been gatekept from learning these skills end up being frustrated when the kid prefers their mom. I know a bunch of families where it’s the other way around though.

    It's a matter of generation. I think older men will show a more traditional behavior pampering women and fully taking care of bills 100%, they expect to maintain a certain role with the man providing for the financial aspect and the woman providing for what is considered "a woman's task", like taking care of the household and so on.
    Younger generations are trying to change this kind of mentality and take equality into serious consideration, everything must be done splitting the duties, the bills, etc. As an Italian woman, I prefer the second kind of situation. We both work and we both earn a salary, so our time and money will be split 50/50, we are able to pay equally and we are able to do what's necessary in the household helping each other in all the daily tasks.
    We're not in the 1950s anymore, when the majority of women were not working and they were "forced" to maintain a traditional role of stay at home wife and mother, while the man was the only one working and paying for everything. Luckily we have evolved and the wind of change is also affecting the younger generations, from the millennials onwards...

      These are one of the things women will never admit on camera, but they secretly wish for in their innermost feelings. They want CONTROL! They want men to do what they WANT and their boyfriends mothers get in the way. That's why most of them will regard it as a negative thing. It goes beyond all that "men must be more independent perspective". They want men to take care of them, but they don't want competition. But i also believe they should regard being a mama's boy as a good thing as they should see it as a preview of how they are going to be treated if they marry this kind of man.
      But again, they don't want competition. Hence they start complaining.

    Basically the same in Portugal, a lot of us are mama’s boys, we are a matriarchal society although it’s because women would agree with the patriarchal role meaning the women control most things but men still had the final saying, been women beaten, men been drunk and betrayal was the norm maybe that’s why most of us now are only religious in name because they were and are hypocrites now depends by age and socio economic background but it a lot fairer than before still there’s problems with dv and romantic abuse are still prevalent.
    Most men still like to provide otherever women need to contribute and we don’t like if we see we are been taking advantage of so I would say most try doing 50/50 or the one that earns pays more.
    Because of religion and been shamed by elders Portuguese women are seen as difficult because no matter what they do, someone will call them wh0re, elders also like to impose their way of life in young because they outnumber us we can’t move our country forward again this is mostly lead by women, women outlive men so I guess they have the last laugh

Because you know, a society need young people to keep the work force and the pension system. They try to keep it from collapsing with migrants, but it isn't aging well. The serbian guy is so wrong about so many things. He's just parroting the stodgy old rules, the repressive traditions, the stifling rituals he's been raised in. I always say: just because something is old or been done for a long time doesn't mean it is right.

    • @MichelaRossini
      @MichelaRossini Před 26 dny +6

      It doesn't mean that it's wrong either.

    • @Limpi43
      @Limpi43 Před 26 dny +4

      @@MichelaRossini You don't understand it what I wrote. OK, let's try again with more details.
      Those things that guy were talking are wrong, but not because it's an old habit, it is wrong because it is not right. Then why is he doing those? The only reason he's doing those things is because he's been trained to do it ("If you don't pay for the women you're not a real man!" or "Men don't do household chores." or "Taking care of the children is the wife's job.") and not because it is good. And since that's the only reason he's doing those things, that's why I wrote my last sentence.
      You sentence would be correct if I had written something like "Get rid of all old habits and traditions because all old habits and traditions are wrong." I'm NOT saying this. Some traditions are good, some are not so good, some are downright bad. Everything he said is either bad/wrong or incorrect or both. And I repeat: I'm NOT saying it's old, hence bad. It's wrong, hence bad.
      Is it clear now?
