Fake Watch Explosion...WE SUE! | CRM Life E53

- It seems that fake watches have exploded! During the last few months, we're seeing more and more of them! During episode 53, the replicas continue to flood in!
One quick aside...at the beginning of this video, you get to enjoy some very interesting vintage Rolex watches from our friend Dan of Miami Watch Brokers, including one stunning Sophia Loren GMT.
Quickly after that, the fake watch adventure begins with a fake Rolex Daytona Panda that a client brings to our store. But is the watch really fake? Or at least a little real? If you're confused, so were we. We even had our friend and watch CZcamsr Eric Rivera (“Watch Eric”) come in to take a look at the watch. But Charlie wasn't satisfied with simply dismissing the watch as a fake, so he took it to one of our watchmakers for a closer examination. At the watch repair shop, they took both a real and “fake” models apart to compare the movements side by side. Boy where they SURPRISED!
During this episode, you'll also get to see a comparison of a real Patek Philippe 5711 and a fake Tiffany Patek Nautilus (the one with the blue dial), as well as a steel bezel, white-dial Daytona.
Unfortunately, since our last episode our CRM Jewelers Instagram page got taken down AGAIN, less than a month after Instagram reactivated the page and told us that they had taken it down by mistake!! So this time we did a little more than last time. We hired a lawyer to sue Instagram and also help us find the individual or company that is so obsessed with hurting our business. It is obvious that the same group has to be behind this.
Let us know what you think of the fake watches in this episode, our lawsuit, or anything else that we covered. Oh, and if you want us to cover anything in particular in our little reality series, please let us know as well!

Nice to see Eric with his buddies again.
👍👍
Isn’t it nice to see how CRM and Eric stay out of the drama online here?
Actress Honor Blackman played Pussy Galore, not Sophia Loren (who was never in any Bond movie). The Rolex GMT-Master II "Sophia Loren" 16760 was called such because of it's thicker "full body case."
Nice to see Eric passing through CRM. Just like the good ol’ days. I’ve been watching these CZcams videos too long.
Ha Ha, thanks for watching Gary.
Your watchmaker verified the movement was real. A rough cut crown tube on the inside proofs nothing as that could have easily been replaced together with the crown….or just executed poorly at the factory. I have seen tons of Daytonas on my bench and like I said, there are plenty of anomalies amongst gens and sometimes corners are cut by the owner during repair to save costs. The quality of the engraving between the lugs is a better verifier of authenticity. If you know what to look for. In the video I have not seen or heard any compelling evidence of it to be fake. Maybe I missed it. Nonetheless… I like your content bro. No hate 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing to see Eric is back as a friend, smart guys pull together and reconsider positions.
Thanks man. Really appreciate the comment and support!
What happened?

OMG best episode so far.. Seriously! Please make more of these videos where you do this type of investigation and invite other watch dealers such as Eric to get opinions. Cheers everyone! You guys are amazing!
🙏
Yo, Eric in the building! When Eric started his own channel and CRM started CRM Life it was like gaining a new amazing show without losing the other. Proud subscriber on both channels!
Thank you my friend. That means a lot! 🙇🙏
@@Crmjewelers is he talking about me
LOL
Same here bro 😎 🤙🏽
There's plenty of space in the market for two great fighters, Carlos x Watch Eric 😎
Small correction- Sophia Loren was never in a James Bond film. Honor Blackman played Pussy Galore.
So nice to see Eric back with the Team. He’s the reason I bought my first Rolex. Nice job guys
👍👍
Regarding the bad review.. the first time I went to CRM Jewelers, I asked Carlos if it was Ok that I hang around for a while since I went there on my day off and it was a big deal for me to meet them. Of course the answer was YES. I was treated to CUBAN coffee too. They made me feel like family. I think they go way out of their way to make everyone feel special. And it’s not fake bullshit. The way you see them on their CZcams channel is EXACTLY the way they are in person. Just be respectful and mindful that it’s a business, not a bar or club. Nothing but love for you my brother Carlos and all the staff!
Thank you so much my friend for your honesty, love, and support. I was taken back by the review as well. It hurt.
Wow, VERY NICE to see Eric back together with the CRM gang. This reunion made the video for me, not the watches. This is a good team right here.
Thank you for your support Evelyn.
There not a team , Eric left long ago , he started watch Eric , they might do business together , and outside of business they are friends , but they are not a team anymore that ended long ago
Another great show and we are extremely happy to see Carlos interact with ERIC in a fun way
Thank you so much, John.
Love to see Eric back on the scene, can"t wait to see who"s behind taking your page down. CRM 4 Life!!!
Thank you so much Luis! 🙏
This is awesome that Carlos and Eric Reunited!! That’s what Make CRM is the best family owned jewelers!! Amazing
Thank you so much Thomas.
Love the channel! The drive, commitment and love that your family displays is wonderful. Wishing you all success and good health, God Bless you all.
Thank you so much for your support and encouraging words Roger!
Good to see the crew and Eric on good terms. Almost feels like an April fools joke, eh?
🤣🤣🤣
Dan from Miami Watch Brokers is such a cool vintage guy. His fixing the bezel on the spot was hilarious, too.
I know. We're going to be doing some live streams with him to talk more about vintage pieces....hopefully next week! 🤞
Its nice to know that CRM is on top of their game. They can spot a fake watch from a mile away, its great to see that you guys go above and beyond to make sure that you do your due diligence on your watches.
You can never be too safe Kevin. Thank you for watching 🙏
Amazing episode!!!! Love your hospitality to everyone you meet
Thank you so much AG. Everyone is important. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and appreciation.
I hope CRM gets to do deep discovery and find out why Instagram took down the website twice. Your lawyer has the experience so please keep us informed as the case proceeds through the court system.
🙏
I live for these small details like this. Great job guys
Nice, I feel like I could keep up with a watch convo just from watching you guys. From my POV if I am dropping serious cash on anything, tools, entertainment, trips, watches, etc, I also invest on knowledge of the item. Its not enough to flash it, gotta be about it too.
I find it funny you guys are doing everything you can to prove it’s a fake watch. But yeah, fake watches are becoming the norm, people with real watches own fake watches too, and for those that like a watch but can’t afford it but can afford a super clone more power to them.
No.
@@heisenberg1271 you a Fugazy snake oil salesman
@@heisenberg1271 again, no.
If you can’t afford it - don’t pretend you can.
@@heisenberg1271 it's morally better to by homages from actual companies who pay wages. Fakes are made by criminal enterprises that don't just dabble in watches but drugs and people trafficking, you're contributing to it, you should be ashamed mate.

Loving this content the last couple of episodes bro. So educational and interesting💜🇺🇸🔥 Have a good weekend CRM!
Thank you my friend. You too!
Great video. One of your best! The fake Daytona discussion was absolutely fascinating, as was the Instagram lawsuit discussion.
Thank you so much my friend. 🙇
Very interesting insights on the fake watches hitting the streets. This is going to be a bigger problem moving forward with the values always increasing. Places more importance on box and papers. Especially a serial number that's legit. Good job CRM
Thank you so much Johnny. Agree 100%.
Two issues with that Johnny P:
1) Anyone who can fake a watch to a high level can EASILY fake ‘box and papers.’ Think about it. A company that can produce a high level fake that requires experts like CRM to tell apart can easily fake receipts, warranties, booklets and presentation box.
2) A bigger issue (much bigger in my opinion) is stolen watches. Experts can tell a fake watch, but identifying a stolen watch is something totally different. Many people will only find out years later when they take their watches for servicing and are told it was stolen.
Stolen watches is a big issue in my opinion.
@@kraitshakti I understand what you say and it is valid. Boxes are probably the easiest thing to fake in the watch production.
But what cannot be faked is the serial numbers that accompany the watch and the security card issued with magnetic strip highlighting where and when the watch was purchased with all owners details on the brand's database. This is in effect like the Vin and chassis numbers of a car. They cannot be made up. Only cut and shut. Those producing replicas will need to hack the database's of all manufacturers to implement their own made up serial numbers. This is way too risky to carry out.
I think all watch brands will have to start taking these things more seriously as it will protect their own brand and integrity. First place they can start with this is a lost and stolen register. And those caught in possession of stolen watches facing hefty repercussions. Ignorance won't be an excuse.
Just check if the movement has 1 or 2 bridges...
@@mies_cup exactly… the Chinese fake everything else almost flawlessly except the free sprung balance. All these conversations make me doubt the ability of their watch smith man
Wow, this looked like a throw back with Eric in the building! Great content as always, keep up the excellent work CRM! I'm from Houston Texas myself and been watching y'alls videos. Hope to come check yall out one day.
P.s Just make sure Carlos has that chevy ready to take me for a ride,🤣🤣
Ha Ha, that's a deal Derrick.
After he spilled the coffee his Dad said "He's been doing that since he was 1 years old!"🤣🤣👏🏻
Sitting on a roof for years , this guy is setting off every warning bell to me . I think he’s just like a guy that finds old canvas for a nice forger. But hey maybe I’m wrong .
LOL, the watch is real though.
All his watches were real though lol… Maybe you just don’t have the greatest instincts 😂
I think the roofer stole it from inside the loft space 😂
Crm putting all their rolexes in a tanning bed...
I’m a fan horology and appreciate people who are geeky and nerd in our appreciation , though the market is goofy just trying to enjoy. I try not to get into clownery of the social media watch world drama, but I can’t help myself. Best CRM to you, family and business!

Sophia Loren was never in a James Bond movie.
Such an informative video. Good to see Eric on the channel as well, such a good dude. Hopefully your lawsuit with Instagram gets resolved as well without any headaches.
Thank you Mike! 🙏
Great episode, scary seeing how good these fakes are becoming. Great to see Eric hanging out with you guys, watch guys are one family, great vibes.

It’s an 800 dollar fake lol. And it’s not a noob. It’s a CF. I own one and I own the genuine version as well. I use the fake when I’m on vacation or on a business trip to avoid it being stolen while traveling.
@@somtoth You would’ve been better off paying for insurance and enjoying the real watch.

Okay, I'll be the guy.
So....
...where do you get a "CF" or another replica with quality as high as the Daytona the guys were scrutinizing here?

Hey CRM, This is one of my favorite videos . Some much information, experts . Showing us what to look for in picking out fakes and not getting ripped off. BUY from CRM and there won't be a doubt your rocking the real deal. And the relationship with these guys is PRICELESS. CRM4LIFE
Thank you Jose. It's one of our favorite episodes as well.

Its scary because now they have these things called Frankensteins or something like that where there is real parts and fakes parts in the same watch 🤯🤯.. made by real watchmakers that sell for up to $6000..
Love this content! Cant wait till the day I take the trip get one of these beautiful pieces!

Great to see Eric in the crm shop. Almost nostalgic. Awesome to see the love still running between both. In Miami for the weekend and would love to pass through the shop

CRM see you ans Eric together not only shows maturity but shows that you guys are a company I will be doing business with. I will be in Miami in a few months and I will come by.
Thank you so much Lucy.
Respect for embracing the MoonSwatch and not trashing it like others on CZcams. When I get one, will definetly upgrade with a Horus strap. 🌞😎
Thank you my friend. There's room for lots of things in the world of horology. 😉
Did ya'll just hear what Eric said? “If you look at the back of the hands on the reflection of the hands on the hands.." THAT WAS ON POINT YO!

@@Crmjewelers love you guys❤️
The Daytona is most likely a Clean Factory Daytona replica watch. The blue hue is meant to replicate the 2022 Daytona - but it's also a little too blue, based on the AR coating on the crystal. Very good rep - they even have a replica movement. The watch sells for around $750.
Some people think the world revolves around them so take no notice of the negative people, Carlos. The real people understand when your busy or if you missed them, don't worry about these sad people. Your a great friendly business who could show many companies how to do real customer service. Liverpool UK.

Great video…..I like the family vibe and the honesty, and of course the watch knowledge!
Got my popcorn ready for this one !
HA HA, this one's action packed. Let me know how you like it. 😉
Those fake Daytona's are insanely close to real...Quite scary
Crazy how far people will go to pretend they're something they're not.
Cry because they can buy almost the same watch for 600$ instead of 30k$ . Super reps were created because of waiting lists and NWBIG
@@Crmjewelers or they just like the look of the watch? I don’t own any reps but don’t put people down cuz they don’t have 30k to drop on a watch
Not trying to insult, but I'd rather wear a nice Casio that's authentic than a fake luxury watch. Whoever buys a fake watch obviously likes the look, but the main reason behind (at least the majority of the times) is to try to pass the watch off as authentic. It's not like people with fake Rolex watches go around telling everyone they're fake. 🤷
Carlos , Charlie and the family seem like great ppl, good customer service and great energy.
🙏
These guys are the American dream straight up. From bad to good everything in between. The grind of being a true American. Love it all.

Charlie is such a good sport. They're always cracking jokes on him 😆 CRM is the best. Keep up the great work ✌😎💼
Thank you my friend.
The week is over. I'm back home. The coffee is ready. Jazz is playing. The lights are dimmed. It's Friday night and CRM is on. God, I hope that never changes! I'd love to be the first to write a comment but I take so long to write that, sometimes, it's midnight and I haven't finished yet! This time I started earlier. Guys. this is getting ridiculous! Each week, I write ever more glowing reviews. Sometimes I tell myself that I will no longer have any inspiration. And every week, you surpass yourself and give me fuel. This new video I just watched is probably one of the best you've ever done! I refuse to believe what my eyes have just seen. How is it even possible? Week after week, guys! How do you do? What's your secret? What are you, man! Have you signed a pact with Satan? You have agreed to give him your souls and in exchange, the Prince of darkness grants you excellence? Is that how it works? And it's not even a matter of video quality, overlaid music or ever more iconic images. No Sir. It's a matter of soul. You have soul. A camera. Your family. And we let you go. We are instantly hooked. It hadn't even been 2 minutes since the video had started and I was totally invested. Vintage watch, fake watch, moonwatch, all of that was so captivating. The passion and the scrutiny were contagious. I've told you before but I'll say it again: simply following you in your interactions and in your conversations is magic. And to see Eric again inside your walls was a great gift! I said it last week and I sincerely believe it: CRM is the glue that must hold the watch community together. Your sincerity, your dedication, your love of the profession, your joie de vivre, your family values are of such magnitude that they must become the norm for the entire industry. It's also why I hope you find the mischievous little person (or group) who wants to hurt you. There is so much hate and negativity on social networks that to attack such a revered and generous family business is a lèse-majesté crime. I include in this negativity the sad person who wrote a long complaint online to pity his little self. It makes me want to repeat Mr T's favorite expression.... But let's not let this sadness get to us. let's take the good humor of CRM as an example. A good mood that I now have to wait a week before finding again. Yeap. I'll say it again: wish everyday was friday. Wish everyday was CRM day.
"I pity the fool!" Common Mike, spit it out! 😜 Thank you so much for your encouraging words every week my friend. They never cease to inspire us, so never cease writing them. Have an amazing weekend with the fam and Gold bless you!

I ran a successful electronic repair shop for over 35 years; "out of the thousands of people I looked after", there were 5% that were impossible to please, so!!! I invited them to take it to another service center. My return on repairs was 2.5%, "they were taken care of without charge with additional warranty". Shops that had a return rate of 5% was considered excellent, with the right equipment knowledge and passion I was able to design, modify, repair with my engineering background. So!!! Carlos you can't please everyone, they don't understand the complexity in running a business.
Definitely agree with you John. Have a blessed weekend my friend.
Great content, great family & great business. Cheers from Australia!

Loved every bit of this video. Charlie looking into the fake and explained the whole thing was fantastic, then Carlos with the second one , it’s sad to see so many fakes out there . Nothing better than the real thing.
I really hope you guys find out who is trying to sabotage the business, they need to feel the full force of the law and pay the penalty for trying to bring you guys down.

Corporate lawyer here (not litigator): be weary when an attorney tells you that you can sue someone personally for all the lost business. Why? Very difficult to prove lost business and good luck collecting. And if you are able to collect, they may throw you right back into court and work out a lame monthly payment system that is not worth your time. Avoid retainer and opt for success fee if lawyer thinks it is a good idea to proceed with a case.
Its a noob clone, 700 bucks :) but real daytonas can be different whites and different colors on the ceramic to.
The movement is 1:1 clone
Noob is made of an older Daytona and has a more blue-ish dial.
Is this not well known in these highend stores :O?
Nope it's the CF that has a blueish dial. Some say it's because of the crystal. The noobs have a greyish dial.
I’m being honest I’d be terrified buying or selling a watch in case I bought a fake or try to sell a watch not knowing it was fake
That's a good point James. That's why dealer reputation is so important.

However as a James bond fan, I have to correct the vintage watch expert on the Rolex GMT. It wasn't Sophia Loren who wore the watch in the James bond movie . It was Honor Blackman. In Goldfinger (1964).
