I am a Japanese living in Japan. In the future, when AI starts to do intellectual work in earnest, there will be some exceptions, but most professionals such as lawyers(AI lawyer) and doctors(AI doctor) may be replaced by AI. When AI itself develops and designs the next generation of AI, as well as software and application development, digital engineers will no longer be necessary. Therefore, "information" subjects in high schools and digital-related courses in universities will become outdated and abolished. Surprisingly, the people who can make a living in this situation may be plasterers, painters, gardeners, and other rather cheap physical laborers that cannot be automated and can only be done by hand, which is not profitable using AI which is developed and introduced at high cost.
I believe jobs like call centers ..where you answer calls and respond to queries and such can be handled by a Good AI. Repeated jobs like Road works.. and such can be handled by robots also.. they dun tire and csn finish paving a road much faster than humans, resulting in less downtime.
Physical labor will be automated as well, the progress in humanoid robots like Optimus is a big topic right now. But there will still be a need for humans to organize and direct the efforts of AI labor.
Even if you have a lawyer AI, it will be a while before that AI is allowed to stand in court, especially in Japan. You will still need real lawyers to interface with clients and the courts - maybe not in all situation, but many of them.
Professions for which a human touch would be preferable are the ones that will be less automated, for example teachers, medical practitioners and artists. But they will still be assisted by AI, as that will improve their knowledge and effectiveness.
Automation will impact many jobs, but not to the extent you describe. If it is done right, it will be a matter of finding the right blend between the effectiveness and cost reductions of AI and robotics, and the will and creativity of humans. There are people who will thrive in the world of AI, as "AI controllers" of sorts, and people who will be unable to adapt. Governments should prepare to support the latter in this transition.
When introducing AI robots, the cost of developing an AI robot that can replace complex manual labor, and the cost of renting or purchasing that AI robot are both prohibitively expensive. On the other hand, the wages of manual laborers are generally low, so the cost of developing and introducing an AI robot to work must be lower than the wages of manual laborers. In this case, whether or not an AI robot can be used is a matter of comparing the two expenses.

His English is very easy to undersand.I want him to be the Prime Minister after Kishida.Kishida can't speak English as fluent as Taro.
This minister gets it, I like him. I wish we had a good one in France. Not sure how fast he will be able to love Japan though, if they are just out of the age of floppy disks... There's a lot of catching up before getting into the age of knowledge automation
I mean to be fair less than ten years ago the US military was still using floppy disks in their ICBM silos, if something works there's no reason to replace it till it breaks down.

It was quite surprising for me as a korean national viewing his interviews done with Bloomberg. haha keep sharing this to Korean nationals ! there should be a number of Koreans in need of him speaking english fluently....... !!!!!!!!! meaning that Japan is going not to be against Korea and be allied with ROK under USA !
