YES! India is always गुलाम of The Invaders(Persian, Greek, Muhammad bin Qasim, Mahmud of Ghazni, Muhammad Ghori, Timur, Babur, Nader Shah, Ahmad Shah Durrani, Alexander the Great, and the British East India Company) and still British crown is above the Indian President of India in protocol. British crown is the head of Common Wealth and India is also a member.

British king or queen is not automatically Head of the Commonwealth. Commonwealth member countries choose who becomes Head of the Commonwealth.
See the rules of Commonwealth Secretariat after decolonisation .
Seems that you are struck in pre independence era.
P.S - It is commonwealth of Nations not British Commonwealth. The name was changed after the decolonisation
