The Saints are in a lot of these games. Not surprising considering that New Orleans was known for their strong offenses and terrible defenses in the mid-2010s.
This is why brees is in my top 5 because in his prime you literally could not have asked him to do anymore than he did he just had some of the worst defenses ever
Dude is legitimately the most unlucky HOF QB ever. Most all time 2nd place finishes in MVP voting with 4. Robbed of an MVP once, arguably twice. Several other years he would’ve been considered or won it, other players had all time great seasons (2006 LT, 2011 Rodgers, 2013 Manning, 2018 Mahomes) or he had bad teams (2008 and 2012). Then his postseason losses in 2010, 2011, 2017 and 2018 are usually what franchises suffer over decades of play, not in a 10 year period and to the same QB. You could arguably throw 2019 in there too. Man could not catch a break to save his life and he’s underrated because of it. If the guy had some luck and played in a bigger market, we’d be debating if he was second all time between Montana, Manning and him, not if he’s even a top 5 QB all time.

The 2012 Saints D had Steve Spagnuolo as the Defensive Coordinator. The same Steve Spagnuolo that stopped the Patriots’ then-record setting offense in SB42, who only won 11 games during his three season stint as HC of the Rams, and who gave up a record 7,042 yards of total offense with the Saints, and who gave up the second most yards during his second stint with the Giants.
Before the Chiefs-Rams game at 38:16, there’s an error with the final score that’s shown. The Rams won 54-51, not the Chiefs. Not sure if anyone else noticed that as well.
Matt Flynn deserves more love for that game. He gave Packer's fans a show!! Broke a franchise record throwing for 480 yards in the game. (now tied with rodgers)
All the Saints had to do was get Brees a consistent #2 WR. The best they did from 2017-2020 was old Ted Ginn who was reliable in 2017 alone. Sanders would’ve been probably the best, but then MT got hurt and he had to become Brees’ number 1 WR.
