For sure! Would love a video explaining OAA
You got it Corey! Expect that video in the near future.
Man, so glad i've found this channel. Great content!
Glad to have you here! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
I love this channel. I’ve learned so much about the game.
Glad you’ve enjoyed, Anthony! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
I would love a full video on OAA and how it’s regarded by the league
It’s on the list for early next year! Thanks for the comment 👊🏻
One idea that would be cool, and that I have trying to figure out what stats should be on there, would be if you had to revise a baseball card stats to show past production, what would they be? You mentioned in the video about other past production stats, so I was cruious. And then, what would a full projection baseball card look like? Just future WAR and x(fill in the blank) stats?
I also think breaking stats down into the categories of current stats that are descriptive of the game, current stats that can also be predicitve stats, and then stats for projections.
I would like a video on OAA
You can expect that video soon! Thanks for the comment!
5:43 Semien was playing 2nd this year. He hasn’t been a very good defender at SS. Just thought I’d put that out there
I love looking at stats and understand that fangraphs and baseball savant are great for looking at them, but they get kind of complicated to use. Is there any way to get a video on how to navigate it? Other videos I know at least I would want to see is how to find the best information about sabermetrics like where to find the best articles, a video on OAA, or a video explaining ZiPS and Steamer
What are your thoughts on xwOBA compared to the offensive metrics in this video? It seems liked it’d be the most predictive of future success.
Absolutely! xwOBA, xBA, xSLG, etc. are all great indicators of future success as well. I chose not to mention them in this video because the expected stats add another level to what we were covering. Could've done the same with OPS+, wOBA and a bunch of other stats too!
Thanks for the comment!
Why did you choose fWAR to compare the players over other versions of WAR?
What website do you use to gather this data
There are a few popular ones out there, the ones I reference include Baseball Savant and FanGraphs. I'll link both below!
