- Third and final part of a series of videos that introduce the novice machinist to metrology (the scientific study of measurement). More specifically, this video introduces us to ANGULAR MEASUREMENTS (ANGLE BLOCS, VERNIER PROTRACTORS), AND MEASURING WITH GAUGES. As for all THATLAZYMACHINIST videos, this video is produced for novice , garage or beginner machinists. You can find all my videos as well as project drawings and course notes on my website www.thatlazymachinist.com/

Thanks for understanding that I am a professional toolmaker and teacher but I am not a professional video producer (and it shows). I produce these videos for fun as a little retirement project that lets me give back a little of what was passed on to me by so many amazing trades people most of whom, sadly, are no longer with us. You are still the best teacher of all time. Marc !
Great series on basic knowledge required perform in a machine shop... ;)
Another well done discussion and demo.
More videos please and with a higher frequency of release. Just the best out here on CZcams.
Great lesson. You have a wonderful ability to teach rather than just present information. I, as an amateur, have all the tools you mentioned except the optical comparator. I don't think I need that.
Thank you for that amazing willing of sharing knowledge
Dear Marc, thank you very much
Lesson: 10
Lots of knowledge on these videos I can to put into practice.
good series...
Many thanks again, mon ami.
Thank you.
Thanks.
Didnt like grinding angles on milling cutters
If perform m-12 tapping and check go and no go gauge, how to repair???
There are other ways to measure angles you didnt explain an optical comparator , but there to large and expensive to have where you are
hi sa mga M.E students ng BSU na ngayon lang nagawa kasi deadline na bukas
Marc, your not an old fart 💨. Your as young as the woman you feel 👩, as we say in Scotland 🏴
It seems to me that you are mixing up accuracy witht precision
